The women of Moab are at the places where people go across the Arnon River. They are like birds that flap their wings when they are pushed from their nest.

Like fleeing birds, like a scattered nest, so are the daughters of Moab at the fords of the Arnon.

The women of Moab are left like homeless birds at the shallow crossings of the Arnon River.

Like a bird fleeing, forced from the nest, the daughters of Moab will be at the fords of the Arnon.

Then, like fluttering birds or scattered nestlings, The daughters of Moab will be at the crossing places of the Arnon.

For it shall be as a wandering bird thrown out of the nest; So shall be the daughters of Moab at the fords of the Arnon.

For it shall be that, as wandering birds, as a scattered nest, so shall the daughters of Moab be at the fords of the Arnon.

Like a bird fleeing, forced from the nest, the daughters of Moab will be at the fords of the Arnon.

For it shall be,[ that], as a wandering bird cast out of the nest,[ so] the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon.

At the fords of the Arnon the Moabite women are like a bird that flies about when forced from its nest.

For it will be that as wandering birds, as a scattered nest, so will the daughters of Moab be at the fords of the Arnon.

Like a bird that flees its nest is anyone who flees from home.

“ Next they traveled through the wilderness, skirted the lands of Edom and Moab, passed along the eastern side of the country of Moab, and camped on the other side of the Arnon. They did not enter the territory of Moab, for the Arnon was its border.

So at that time we took from these two kings of the Amorites the territory east of the Jordan, from the Arnon Gorge as far as Mount Hermon.

Moab is disgraced, for she is shattered. Wail and cry out! Announce by the Arnon that Moab is destroyed.

The Arnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites.That is why the Book of the Wars of the Lord says:“... Zahab in Suphah and the ravines, the Arnonand the slopes of the ravines that lead to the settlement of Ar and lie along the border of Moab.”

Like a hunted gazelle, like sheep without a shepherd, they will all return to their own people, they will flee to their native land.
