爾曹若從肉體而行、必死、若以聖神而滅身之邪行、必生、

你们若顺从肉体活着，必要死；若靠着圣灵治死身体的恶行，必要活着。

你们若顺从肉体活着，必定会死；若靠着圣灵把身体的恶行处死，就必存活。

爾如從欲、取死之道也。存神去欲、得生之道也。

For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.

If you live under the power of sin, you will die. But by the Spirit’s power you can put to death the sins you commit. Then you will live.

For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live.

以慾而種者、必由慾穫敗壞、以神而種者、必由神穫永生、

我所愛者、爾曹在世既為賓客羈旅、我勸爾去肉體之慾、即敵靈者也、

故當滅爾在地之肢體所作之罪、即姦淫、污穢、邪侈、惡慾、貪婪、貪婪與拜偶像同罪、因此諸事天主之震怒、臨於不信之人、昔爾生於罪惡中、亦曾行之、今當去此一切、以及忿怒、怨恨、暴戾、謗讟並口中淫穢之詞、

我攻克我身、使之折服、恐我訓他人、而自見棄也、

凡屬基督者、已滅肉體之情欲、如釘之十字架、

爾既賴聖神、而潔己心、致能順真理、以愛兄弟無偽、則當由清潔之心、彼此切愛、

教我儕除諸不虔及世之情慾、得以自守公義虔敬、在此世度日、

使我儕不從肉體而從聖神、可成律法之義、蓋從肉體者體肉體之事、從聖神者體聖神之事、體肉體、死也、體聖神、生且安、

當去爾前行、脫爾舊人、即被惑人之嗜慾見壞者、

蓋我儕屬肉體之時、罪慾由律法而生者、動於我肢體、使我儕結果以致死、

人而見誘、俱為己慾所引所惑、慾孕生惡、惡成生死、

縱欲之行、顯而易知、即姦淫、苟合、污穢、邪侈、拜偶像、巫術、結仇、爭鬥、媢嫉、忿怒、釁隙、朋黨、異端、媢嫉、兇殺、沈湎、饕餮之類、我昔告爾、今復告爾、凡行此者、必不得天主之國、

是故凡屬基督耶穌、不從肉體而從聖神者、有原文抄本無不從肉體而從聖神句不定罪、蓋致生之聖神、因基督耶穌之法、已釋我於罪及死之法、

蓋罪之償值、死也、天主恩賜乃永生、因我主耶穌基督焉、

勿醉酒、酒使人放肆無節、惟當感以聖神、

勿使天主之聖神憂、爾由之得印、至於救贖之日、

爾昔日所行之事、今日所恥者、獲何益益原文作果哉、因此事終致死亡、

凡姦淫及諸污穢、與貪婪之事、在爾中即言之亦不可、蓋聖徒宜然也、淫詞、妄言、戲謔、亦非所宜、莫若稱謝主恩、因爾知凡姦淫者、污穢者、貪婪者、於基督及天主之國無分、貪婪者與拜偶像者無異也、
