以色列的兒子們就照樣做了。約瑟遵照法老的吩咐，給他們車輛和路上需用的食物。

你要吩咐他們：『要這樣做：從埃及地帶着車輛去，把你們的孩子和妻子，以及你們的父親都接來。

他們就把約瑟對他們所說一切的話都告訴了他。他看見約瑟派來接他的車輛，他們父親雅各的靈就甦醒了。

法老就召摩西來，說：「去，事奉耶和華吧！只是你們的羊羣牛羣要留下來。你們的孩子可以和你們同去。」

我們的牲畜也要與我們同去，連一蹄也不留下，因為我們要從牲畜中挑選來事奉耶和華－我們的神。未到那裏之前，我們還不知道要用甚麼來事奉耶和華。」

於是雅各下了埃及，後來他和我們的祖宗都死在那裏；

雅各起來，叫他的孩子和妻子都騎上駱駝，又趕着他一切的牲畜和他所得的一切財物，就是他在巴旦‧亞蘭所得的，他擁有的牲畜，往迦南地他父親以撒那裏去了。
