我與爾偕下伊及、亦必使爾歸、約瑟將按手於爾目、即臨終使爾瞑目之義

I will go down to Egypt with you, and I will surely bring you back again. And Joseph’s own hand will close your eyes.”

I myself will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also bring you up again, and Joseph’s hand shall close your eyes.”

約瑟伏在他父親的臉上，在他臉上哭，又親他。

看哪，我必與你同在，無論你往哪裏去，我必保佑你，領你歸回這地。我總不離棄你，直到我實現了對你所說的話。」

我下來是要救他們脫離埃及人的手，領他們從那地上來，到美好與寬闊之地，到流奶與蜜之地，就是迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人之地。

以色列又對約瑟說：「看哪，我快要死了，但神必與你們同在，領你們回到你們祖先之地。

『我父親曾叫我起誓說：看哪，我快要死了，你要將我葬在迦南地，在我為自己所掘的墳墓裏。』現在求你准我上去葬我父親，然後我必回來。」

雅各啊，創造你的耶和華，以色列啊，造成你的那位，現在如此說：「你不要害怕，因為我救贖了你；我曾提你的名召你，你是屬我的。你從水中經過，我必與你同在，你渡過江河，水必不漫過你；你在火中行走，也不被燒傷，火焰必不燒着你身。

約瑟對他的兄弟說：「我快要死了，但神必定看顧你們，領你們從這地上去，到他起誓應許給亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各之地。」約瑟叫以色列的子孫起誓：「神必定眷顧你們，你們要把我的骸骨從這裏帶上去。」

他們把他送到迦南地，葬在幔利對面的麥比拉田間的洞裏；那田是亞伯拉罕向赫人以弗崙買來作墳地的產業。

但我要懲罰他們所服事的那國，以後他們必帶着許多財物從那裏出來。至於你，你要平平安安歸到你祖先那裏，必享長壽，被人埋葬。到了第四代，他們必回到這裏，因為亞摩利人的罪惡到現在還沒有滿盈。」
