主耶和華說：「因為你們用一切可憎的偶像和惡行玷污我的聖所，我憑我的永恆起誓，我必毫不留情地剷除你們。

他們不會再因祭拜偶像、行可憎之事而玷污自己，我要從他們犯罪的地方把他們救出來，洗淨他們的罪。他們要做我的子民，我要做他們的上帝。

他們以華美的飾物為驕傲，並用它製造醜惡可憎的神像，因此，我必使這一切變成他們眼中的污穢之物。

這恩典教導我們除掉不敬虔的心和世俗的私慾，在今世過自律、公義、敬畏上帝的生活，

耶和華說：「到那日，我要消滅你們的戰馬，毀壞你們的戰車。我要摧毀你們境內的城邑，拆除你們所有的堡壘。我要除掉你們手中的巫術，使你們那裡不再有占卜的。我要從你們中間除去雕刻的神像和神柱，使你們不再跪拜自己所造的。我要從你們中間剷除亞舍拉神像，毀滅你們的偶像。

至於那些心裡戀慕醜惡可憎之物的人，我必按他們所行的報應他們。這是主耶和華說的。」

廂房旁邊的外牆與廂房及外院平行，長二十五米。靠近外院的廂房長二十五米，靠近聖殿的廂房則長五十米。

你們必拋棄自己那些鍍金包銀的偶像，把它們當作污穢之物丟掉，對它們說：「去吧！」

「以法蓮啊，你要遠離偶像。我應允你的禱告，看顧你。我像一棵青翠的松樹，你的果實都來自於我。」

首先，我要讓他們因自己的罪與惡而受加倍的報應，因為他們用沒有生命氣息的可憎偶像玷污我的土地，使可厭之物充滿我的產業。」

我必攻擊你，用鹼煉淨你的渣滓，除盡你的雜質。我必像從前一樣賜你審判官和謀士。之後，你必被稱為公義之城、忠信之邑。」耶和華必因祂的公正救贖錫安，必因祂的公義拯救城中悔改的人。

所以，你們要治死身上屬世的罪惡，如淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾和貪心，貪心就是拜偶像，因為上帝的烈怒必臨到做這些事的悖逆之人。你們過去也和他們一樣過著罪惡的生活，但現在必須杜絕這一切的惡事，如怒氣、憤恨、惡毒、毀謗和污言穢語。
