The next day Moses said to the people,“ You have committed a great sin. But now I will go up to the Lord; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin.”

Now it came to pass on the next day that Moses said to the people,“ You have committed a great sin. So now I will go up to the Lord; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin.”

And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto Jehovah; peradventure I shall make atonement for your sin.

The following day Moses said to the people,“ You have committed a grave sin. Now I will go up to the Lord; perhaps I will be able to atone for your sin.”

撒母耳说：“不要害怕，你们虽然做了这恶事，但不可离开耶和华，要全心全意地事奉祂。

也许耶和华会体察我的困苦，因我今天所受的咒骂而赐福给我。”

至于我，我会不断地为你们祈祷，免得我得罪耶和华。我会教导你们行善道、走正路。

你们要恨恶邪恶，喜爱良善，在城门口伸张正义，也许万军之上帝耶和华会恩待约瑟的余民。

祂使以色列从大卫家分裂出来，以色列人便拥立尼八的儿子耶罗波安为王。耶罗波安诱使以色列人远离耶和华，使他们犯了大罪。

为了我的弟兄——我的同胞以色列人，即使我自己被咒诅、与基督隔绝，我也愿意！

你为什么蔑视我的命令，做出我视为可憎的事呢？你借亚扪人的刀杀了赫人乌利亚，把他的妻子据为己有。

我要动身回到我父亲身边，对他说，父亲，我得罪了天，也得罪了你，

但基督替我们受了咒诅，从而救赎我们脱离了律法的咒诅，因为圣经上说：“凡挂在木头上的人都是受咒诅的。”

所以你们要彼此认罪，互相代祷，好得到医治。义人的祷告有极大的力量和功效。

上帝或许会施怜悯，收回烈怒，使我们不致灭亡，也未可知。”

亚伦就照着摩西的吩咐取来香炉，跑到会众当中。那时瘟疫已经在人群中蔓延起来。他就在炉中放上香为民众赎罪。

在耶和华的眼中，这两个青年罪恶深重，因为他们轻视献给耶和华的祭物。

摩西回到耶和华那里，说：“唉，百姓犯了大罪，用金子为自己造了神像。恳求你赦免他们的罪，不然请你从你的册子上抹掉我的名字吧。”

要温柔地规劝那些反对我们的人，也许上帝会赐给他们悔改的心，使他们明白真理，

所以我告诉你，她众多的罪都被赦免了，因此她的爱深切；那些获得赦免少的，他们的爱也少。”
