奉上帝旨意做基督耶穌使徒的保羅、和兄弟提摩太，寫信給在哥林多的上帝教會、同那在全亞該亞的眾聖徒。

我父的意思就是：要使凡見子而信的人都有永生；我還要使他在末日復起呢。』

這奧祕就是：外國人在基督耶穌裏、藉着福音、得以同做後嗣、同做一個身體、一同有分於應許之恩。

而有永生之盼望的。這永生是不撒謊的上帝在歷時歷世以前所應許、

故此基督做了一個新的約的中保，蒙召的人就可以得到所應許的永世基業；因為已經有了受死的事、來贖赦前約之下犯法的罪了。

你們探索經典，因為以為在其中可以得到永生；而那為我作見證的正是這些經；你們卻不情願來找我得生命！

認識你獨一無二的真神、並且認識你所差遣的耶穌基督：這就是永生。

嚼我肉、喝我血的人有永生；我還要使他在末日復起。

因為他的神能、因我們認識那憑着自己的榮耀和神德呼召我們的、已將一切關於生命和虔敬的事賜給我們。藉着榮耀和神德他已將寶貴而極大的應許之恩賜給我們，使我們既逃脫了世界上私慾裏的敗壞，就藉着這些恩得以有分於上帝之神性。

我將永生給予他們，他們必定永遠不滅亡；誰也不能從我手裏奪去。

奉上帝旨意、蒙召做耶穌基督使徒的保羅、和兄弟所提尼、

以致罪在死中怎樣掌了王權，恩典也可以藉着救人之義怎樣掌王權，使人藉着我們的主耶穌基督得永生。

我實實在在地告訴你們，聽我的話、而信差我者的、有永生，不至於受定罪，乃是已經從死裏越到生裏來了。

這就是他所應承給我們的應許：那真而永的生命。

為自己積存着善行做美好的根基、以備將來，好將那真是生命的把握住。

上帝的應許、無論多麼多，在基督都是「是」的；所以我們說「阿們」時也是藉着基督，使榮耀藉着我們而歸於上帝。

因為罪的工價即是死，然而上帝的恩賜乃是永生、於我們的主基督耶穌裏。

耶穌基督的僕人保羅、蒙上帝呼召做使徒、為了福音被分別出來的。
