患難之際、亞哈士王愈犯耶和華、

我必棄斯民、而歸我所、迨其自陳己罪、求沾我恩、窘迫之際、竭力求予。

欲以豕所食荳莢充腹、悔曰、我父若多傭人、其糧有餘、我乃饑而死乎、我將反就父曰、我獲罪於天、及於父前、

主前宜自卑、主將升爾、

我聞以法蓮哭曰、昔予如放逸之犢、爾督責予、而我受責、爾耶和華乃我之上帝、俾我悛改。我既悛改、悔於厥衷、我既受教、擊髀浩嘆、幼時已干罪戾、既長更負愆尤、含羞抱愧、無地可容。耶和華曰、以法蓮豈非我之赤子、我所眷愛者哉、予責之、輒生憐念、予矜憫為懷、復加以撫恤。

上帝耶和華使亞蘭王擊敗之、虜眾至大馬色、後又使以色列王擊之、戮民無數。

患難之際、禱告於我、我爾援、爾我頌兮、

爾曹猶有孑遺、處於敵國、為一己之愆尤、並前人之罪戾、日漸消亡。如其能任己愆、及前人之罪、自知差失、所行逆我、受我譴責、驅至敵國、在彼服罪、緣其不潔之心、卑以自牧、則我必追憶曩時與亞伯拉罕以撒雅各所立之約、而俯念斯土。

吾語汝、此人歸、以義見稱、較彼尤勝、蓋自高者、必降為卑、自卑者、將升為高也、○有人攜孩提、求按於耶穌、門徒見而責之、

摩西亞倫覲法老曰希百來族之上帝耶和華諭云、爾欲待何時、始自卑乎、當釋我民、以役事我。

少者當服長老、彼此相順、必以謙讓為衣服、驕泰者、上帝擯斥、卑遜者、上帝賜恩、故當自卑、服上帝大力、及時必升、

馬拿西事實、備載於以色列列王紀畧、其祈禱上帝之言、與先見者奉以色列族上帝耶和華命、亦附斯書。馬拿西有所祈、上帝允之、未自卑之前、所犯罪愆、所築崇坵、所奉偶像、載於何賽之書特詳。○

主曰、有街以直名者、爾起而往、至猶大家、訪大數人掃羅、彼方祈禱、

其父後能於耶和華前革其非心、亞門不然、犯罪愈重。
