明日斯時、我遣便雅憫地之人就爾、爾必膏之、立為我民以色列之長、拯我民於非利士人手、蓋我民之呼籲達於我前、我垂顧之、

明日斯時、我遣便雅憫人就爾、爾必沐以膏、使為以色列族長、拯我民於非利士人手、蓋民呼籲於上、而我垂顧之。

明日約此時、我將使一人自便雅憫地、來此就爾、爾必膏之立為我民以色列君、救我民脫於非利士人之手、蓋我垂顧我民、其呼籲上達於我、

“ About this time tomorrow I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin. Anoint him ruler over my people Israel; he will deliver them from the hand of the Philistines. I have looked on my people, for their cry has reached me.”

“ About this time tomorrow I will send you a man. He is from the land of Benjamin. Anoint him to be the king of my people Israel. He will save them from the power of the Philistines. I have seen how much my people are suffering. Their cry for help has reached me.”

“ Tomorrow about this time I will send to you a man from the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him to be prince over my people Israel. He shall save my people from the hand of the Philistines. For I have seen my people, because their cry has come to me.”

To- morrow about this time I will send thee a man out of the land of Benjamin, and thou shalt anoint him to be prince over my people Israel; and he shall save my people out of the hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon my people, because their cry is come unto me.

Then Samuel took the flask of oil, poured it on Saul’s head, kissed him, and said,“ Has the Lord not anointed you as ruler over His inheritance?

Nevertheless He looked at their distress When He heard their cry;

And the Lord said,“ I have certainly seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their outcry because of their taskmasters, for I am aware of their sufferings.So I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and spacious land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.And now, behold, the cry of the sons of Israel has come to Me; furthermore, I have seen the oppression with which the Egyptians are oppressing them.

Look at my misery and my trouble, And forgive all my sins.

The Lord said to him,“ Go, return on your way to the wilderness of Damascus; and when you have arrived, you shall anoint Hazael king over Aram.You shall also anoint Jehu the son of Nimshi king over Israel; and you shall anoint Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel meholah as prophet in your place.

Then Samuel said to Saul,“ The Lord sent me to anoint you as king over His people, over Israel; now therefore, listen to the words of the Lord.

Then take the flask of oil and pour it on his head, and say,‘ This is what the Lord says:“ I have anointed you king over Israel.” ’ Then open the door and flee, and do not wait.”So the young man, the servant of the prophet, went to Ramoth gilead.When he arrived, behold, the commanders of the army were sitting, and he said,“ I have a word for you, commander.” And Jehu said,“ For which one of us?” And he said,“ For you, commander.”He then got up and went into the house, and the prophet’s servant poured the oil on his head and said to him,“ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel says:‘ I have anointed you king over the people of the Lord, over Israel.

And you shall invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will let you know what you shall do; and you shall anoint for Me the one whom I designate to you.”

Now it came about in the course of those many days that the king of Egypt died. And the sons of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry for help because of their bondage ascended to God.So God heard their groaning; and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.And God saw the sons of Israel, and God took notice of them.
