Then Samuel said to Saul,“ The Lord sent me to anoint you as king over His people, over Israel; now therefore, listen to the words of the Lord.

When Samuel saw Saul, the Lord said to him,“ Behold, the man of whom I spoke to you! This one shall rule over My people.”

And He* sent two of His disciples and* said to them,“ Go into the city, and a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you; follow him;and wherever he enters, say to the owner of the house,‘ The Teacher says,“ Where is My guest room in which I may eat the Passover with My disciples?” ’And he himself will show you a large upstairs room furnished and ready; prepare for us there.”The disciples left and came to the city, and found everything just as He had told them; and they prepared the Passover.

He said to him,“ Far from it, you shall not die! Behold, my father does nothing either great or small without informing me. So why would my father hide this thing from me? It is not so!”

Certainly the Lord God does nothing Unless He reveals His secret plan To His servants the prophets.

Then He opens the ears of people, And horrifies them with warnings,

The secret of the Lord is for those who fear Him, And He will make them know His covenant.

For this very night an angel of the God to whom I belong, whom I also serve, came to me,

and* said to them,“ Go into the village opposite you, and immediately as you enter it you will find a colt tied there, on which no one has ever sat; untie it and bring it here.And if anyone says to you,‘ Why are you doing this?’ say,‘ The Lord has need of it’; and immediately he will send it back here.”They went away and found a colt tied at the door, outside in the street; and they* untied it.

For You, Lord of armies, God of Israel, have given a revelation to Your servant, saying,‘ I will build you a house’; therefore Your servant has found courage to pray this prayer to You.
