When Samuel saw Saul, the Lord said to him,“ Behold, the man of whom I spoke to you! This one shall rule over My people.”

撒母耳看见扫罗的时候，耶和华对他说：“看哪，这人就是我对你所说的，他必治理我的民。”

撒母耳看见扫罗的时候，耶和华对他说：“看哪，这就是我对你所说的人，他必治理我的百姓。”

撒母耳看见扫罗的时候，耶和华就对他说：“这就是我对你说的那个人，他将统治我的子民。”

撒母耳看见了扫罗，耶和华就对撒母耳说：“你看，这就是我对你所说的那人，他要统治我的子民。”

当撒母耳看见扫罗时，耶和华就对撒母耳说：“看哪，这就是我对你所说的那个人！这人将统治我的子民。”

When Samuel caught sight of Saul, the Lord said to him,“ This is the man I spoke to you about; he will govern my people.”

When Samuel saw a man coming toward him, the Lord spoke to Samuel again. He said,“ He is the man I told you about. His name is Saul. He will govern my people.”

When Samuel saw Saul, the Lord told him,“ Here is the man of whom I spoke to you! He it is who shall restrain my people.”

When Samuel saw Saul, the Lord said,“ That’s the man I told you about! He will rule my people.”

When Samuel saw Saul, the LORD told him,“ Here is the man I told you about; he will govern my people.”

So when Samuel saw Saul, the Lord said to him,“ There he is, the man of whom I spoke to you. This one shall reign over My people.”

And when Samuel saw Saul, Jehovah said unto him, Behold, the man of whom I spake to thee! this same shall have authority over my people.

When Samuel saw Saul, the Lord told him,“ Here is the man I told you about; he will rule over My people.”

And when Samuel saw Saul, the LORD said unto him, Behold the man whom I spake to thee of! this same shall reign over my people.

When Samuel saw Saul, the LORD said,“ Here is the man that I told you about! He will rule over my people.”

When Samuel saw Saul, Yahweh said to him,“ Behold, the man of whom I spoke to you! He will have authority over my people.”

I gave you a king in My anger, And took him away in My wrath.

Then they asked for a king, and God gave them Saul the son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years.

For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same;for it is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a servant of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil.

When they entered, he looked at Eliab and thought,“ Surely the Lord’s anointed is standing before Him.”But the Lord said to Samuel,“ Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God does not see as man sees, since man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”Then Jesse called Abinadab and had him pass before Samuel. But he said,“ The Lord has not chosen this one, either.”Next Jesse had Shammah pass by. And he said,“ The Lord has not chosen this one, either.”So Jesse had seven of his sons pass before Samuel. But Samuel said to Jesse,“ The Lord has not chosen these.”Then Samuel said to Jesse,“ Are these all the boys?” And he said,“ The youngest is still left, but behold, he is tending the sheep.” So Samuel said to Jesse,“ Send word and bring him; for we will not take our places at the table until he comes here.”So he sent word and brought him in. Now he was reddish, with beautiful eyes and a handsome appearance. And the Lord said,“ Arise, anoint him; for this is he.”

And it came about that just as it became dark at the gates of Jerusalem before the Sabbath, I ordered that the doors be shut, and that they were not to open them until after the Sabbath. Then I stationed some of my servants at the gates so that no load would enter on the Sabbath day.

For I have told him that I am going to judge his house forever for the wrongdoing that he knew, because his sons were bringing a curse on themselves and he did not rebuke them.

So I quarreled with them and cursed them, and struck some of them and pulled out their hair, and made them swear by God,“ You shall not give your daughters to their sons, nor take any of their daughters for your sons or for yourselves.

But the worthless, every one of them, are like scattered thorns, Because they cannot be taken in hand;Instead, the man who touches them Must be armed with iron and the shaft of a spear, And they will be completely burned with fire in their place.”
