From Judah will come the cornerstone, from him the tent peg, from him the battle bow, from him every ruler.

The most important building stone will come from the tribe of Judah. The tent stake will also come from it. And the bow that is used in battle will come from it. In fact, every ruler will come from it.

From him shall come the cornerstone, from him the tent peg, from him the battle bow, from him every ruler— all of them together.

From Judah will come the cornerstone, the tent peg, the bow for battle, and all the rulers.

And he[ was] clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.And the armies[ which were] in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

And this[ man] shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver[ us] from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.

For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high[ places].Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Fear not, thou worm Jacob,[ and] ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat[ them] small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD,[ and] shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.

And Saul said, Draw ye near hither, all the chief of the people: and know and see wherein this sin hath been this day.

And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;

When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink,[ and] make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls,[ and] as the corners of the altar.And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they[ shall be as] the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.

And the LORD shewed me four carpenters.Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These[ are] the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up[ their] horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.

But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty[ God] of Jacob;( from thence[ is] the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)

In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place,[ even] in Jerusalem.The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify[ themselves] against Judah.In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David[ shall be] as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.

And now for a little space grace hath been[ shewed] from the LORD our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage.

( For the weapons of our warfare[ are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of[ this] life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have also seduced Egypt,[ even they that are] the stay of the tribes thereof.

These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him[ are] called, and chosen, and faithful.

And I will fasten him[ as] a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father’s house.And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father’s house, the offspring and the issue, all vessels of small quantity, from the vessels of cups, even to all the vessels of flagons.In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall the nail that is fastened in the sure place be removed, and be cut down, and fall; and the burden that[ was] upon it shall be cut off: for the LORD hath spoken[ it].

Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
