「要擴張你帳篷所在的地方，伸展你住所的幔帳，不要止住！要放長你的繩子，堅固你的橛子！因為你要左右擴展，你的後裔必占有列國為繼業，又在荒涼的城邑居住。

到那日，主必第二次伸手收回他子民中的餘剩者，就是在亞述、埃及、巴特羅、庫實、以攔、示拿、哈馬和眾海島所殘留的人。他必向列國豎起旗幟，招聚被驅散的以色列人，又從地的四角聚集被分散的猶大人。以法蓮的嫉妒必消失，猶大的敵視必被剪除；以法蓮必不再嫉妒猶大，猶大也不再敵視以法蓮。他們將向西俯衝到非利士坡地，又一同掠奪東方人；他們伸手占有以東和摩押，亞捫人也將臣服於他們。耶和華將使埃及的海灣枯乾，他在大河之上揮手發出暴熱的風，把它打破為七條溪流，使人可以穿著鞋走過去。必有一條從亞述而來的大道，為他子民中殘留的餘剩者所預備，就像以色列人從埃及地上來之日，為他們所預備的那樣。

到那日，必有一條大道從埃及通往亞述；亞述人到埃及來，埃及人也到亞述去；埃及人與亞述人一同敬拜耶和華。到那日，以色列將與埃及、亞述一同，三者都成為地上的祝福；萬軍之耶和華祝福他們，說：「埃及我的百姓，亞述我手的作為，以色列我的繼業，都是蒙福的！」

至於你的廢墟、淒涼之處、遭毀壞之地，現在作居住用必顯得太窄小；而那些吞滅你的人必遠離你。你居喪時所生的兒女還要說給你聽：『這地方太窄小了，請你給我們地方居住！』那時你心裡必說：『我既喪子，又不能生育，我被擄、被放逐，究竟是誰給我生了這些孩子呢？又是誰把這些孩子養大的呢？看哪！我被留下孤身一人，這些孩子究竟是從哪裡來的呢？』」

至小的必成為族群，至弱的必成為強國。時候一到，我耶和華必速速成就這事。

萬軍之耶和華如此說：『看哪，我必從日出之地和日落之地拯救我的子民！

到那日，耶和華要從幼發拉底河到埃及溪谷，打收穀物——以色列子孫哪，你們必被一個一個撿拾回來！到那日，必有大號角吹響，那些在亞述地快要滅亡的，以及那些被驅趕到埃及地的都要來，在耶路撒冷的聖山敬拜耶和華。
