有話吩咐牠們不可傷害地上的草、任何綠色植物、任何樹木，只可傷害那些額上沒有神印記的人；

看哪！主有一位大能大力者，如冰雹暴雨，如毀滅的狂風，又如洶湧衝擊的雨水；他必親手把它摔落在地。

於是那四個使者就被釋放了。他們是為此年、此月、此日、此時所預備好的，為要殺死人類的三分之一。

由於這三樣災害，就是從馬口中所噴出的火、煙、硫磺，人類的三分之一被殺了。

他在他們的全境降下冰雹為雨、閃電為火。

耶和華宣告：「全地的人必有三分之二被剪除而死，有三分之一存留下來。我必使這三分之一進入火中，熬煉他們如熬煉銀子，察驗他們如察驗金子。他們將呼求我的名，我必應允他們。我必說：『他們是我的子民。』他們也必說：『耶和華是我們的神。』」

以色列的光必成為火，他的聖者必成為烈焰，一日之內就把亞述王的荊棘和蒺藜焚燒吞噬；亞述王樹林和果園的榮美必全然滅絕，好像病重的人消逝那樣。

耶和華察驗義人；他的心卻憎恨惡人和喜愛殘暴的人。他必向惡人密布網羅，火、硫磺、灼熱的風是他們杯中的份。

第一位天使吹響號角，就有冰雹和火，混著血被撒在地上；於是大地的三分之一被燒掉，樹木的三分之一被燒掉，所有的青草也都被燒掉了。第二位天使吹響號角，就有一座像被火燃燒著的大山被丟進海裡；於是海的三分之一變成血，海中有生命的被造之物的三分之一也死了，眾船隻的三分之一也被毀了。第三位天使吹響號角，就有一顆像火把一樣燃燒著的大星，從天上墜落，落在江河的三分之一和眾水的泉源上。這顆星的名字叫「苦艾」。於是眾水的三分之一變為苦艾，許多人就因這水變苦而死去了。第四位天使吹響號角，太陽的三分之一、月亮的三分之一、星辰的三分之一都被擊打，以致它們的三分之一變黑了；於是白晝的三分之一沒有光，夜晚也是如此。

耶和華必使人聽見他威嚴的聲音，又以猛烈的怒氣、吞噬的火焰、暴雨、狂風和石頭般的冰雹，使人看見他掄下來的膀臂。

他用冰雹毀了他們的葡萄樹，用嚴霜毀了他們的桑樹。他把他們的家畜交給冰雹，把他們的牲畜交給閃電。

頃刻之間，萬軍之耶和華必突然用雷霆、地震、巨響、旋風、狂風和吞噬的火焰來懲罰他們。

冰雹和火炭從他面前的光輝中而出，穿過了烏雲。耶和華在天上發出雷鳴，至高者發出他的聲音，伴隨著冰雹和火炭；

又有重約四十公斤的大冰雹，從天上落在人身上；由於這冰雹的災害，人們就褻瀆了神，因為這災害極其厲害。

儘管冰雹降下擊倒森林、城邑徹底敗落，

大雨降下，急流沖來，狂風颳起，撞擊那房子，房子卻沒有倒塌，因為它在磐石上立定根基。可是，凡是聽了我這些話而不實行的人，就好比一個愚拙的人把自己的房子建在沙灘上。大雨降下，急流沖來，狂風颳起，撞擊那房子，房子就倒塌了，並且倒塌得非常厲害。」

因為必有萬軍之耶和華的一個日子，臨到所有傲慢高傲的和所有自高的，使他們成為卑賤；又臨到所有高聳挺拔的黎巴嫩香柏樹和所有巴珊的橡樹，

我又觀看，看哪，有一匹灰綠色的馬。那騎馬的，名叫「死亡」，陰間伴隨著他。他們被賜予了權柄可以統管地上的四分之一，用刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫和地上的野獸去殺害人。

因為，「所有的人都像草一樣，他們的一切榮耀就像草上的花；草會枯乾，花會凋謝，

牠的尾巴拖著天上星辰的三分之一，把它們摔在地上。這龍站在那快要生產的婦人面前，為要在她生產之後，吞吃她的孩子。

第一位天使離去，把他的碗倒在地上，就有又惡又毒的瘡，長在那些帶有獸的印記並膜拜獸像的人身上。

太陽帶著熱氣升起，草地枯萎，草上的花也凋謝，它表面的美麗也就消逝了；照樣，富有的人在他的追求中，也將衰殘。
