我又見死者、若大若小、立於寶座前、有書開展、又別有一書開展、即生命之書、死者皆憑書所錄、按其行為而受審判、

蓋人人皆須立於基督之審判臺前各依其本身所為之善惡、而受其報答焉。

人子必當於厥父光榮之中、率眾天神以臨、按人之行、施人以報。

其子女均將夭折；俾諸教會皆知吾洞察人心、且將按爾中各人之行為而施報應焉。

凡百折不撓、終克致勝者、必得被以白袍；吾當使厥名長留生命冊上、而永不見削、且認之於吾父及眾天神之前也。

今爾何人、竟敢指摘爾之兄弟耶！爾果何人、乃敢藐視爾之兄弟耶！豈不知吾人皆須立於天主臺前、而聽其審判乎。經有之：『主曰、吾憑己之常生而誓、血氣之倫、皆當向我屈膝；含生之屬、皆當向我投誠。』是知每人終須向天主述職也。

萬邦作亂、天怒斯臨；死者受鞫、其在於今；凡爾臣僕、先知聖人；諸凡在世、敬爾之名；無大無小、蒙賞惟均。惟彼無道、荼毒生靈；必膺顯戮、從此沉淪。

「我來在即、其拭目以待！我攜有報應、各按其行以施之。

是時淵海將所溺者紛紛交出、陰府及窅冥亦將所有死者交出；各按其行實而受判焉。

凡厥名自創世以來未錄於被宰羔羊之生命冊者、咸將翕然、景仰此獸。

一切不淨及邪妄之徒、莫得而入；惟錄名於羔羊之生命冊者得入焉。

主曾一度言。我經二度聞。

乃見一純白大寶座、至尊聖主坐焉；天地見之、逡巡而遁、無所自容。

祈主按其行。報彼諸罪孽。自作應自受。處以所應得。

又一音自寶座中發曰：「凡厥忠僕及爾等寅畏之者、無大無小、咸當心歌腹咏、頌美天主。」

蓋死亡之來、由一人也；復活之興、亦由一人。眾因亞當而死、亦因基督而生。惟此中亦各按其序：基督實為先薦之果、而信奉基督者之復活、則有待乎基督之重臨；

蓋天主大公無私、按人之行、施之以報：

願其罪上加罪兮。無與於吾主之恩光。

更望我親愛之莘疇、與諸姊妹通力合作。彼等已往助予傳揚福音、不遺餘力；即葛雷孟及其他錄名於生命書之同道、亦屢承其照拂也。

抑又有進者、按主之言、即同道中於主重臨之日、尚存人世者、亦必不能較已亡者早達天國。彼時號令一出。總領天神一呼、天主之號角一鳴、主乃自天降臨、而已亡之信徒、既先復活；於是同道中之尚在人間者、乃將與彼等一齊被攝入雲、迎主於天際而永與相偕矣。

耶穌曰：『予即復活！予即生命！凡置信於予者、雖死必生；生而置信於予者、永不死。汝信之否？』

爾適所見之獸、一現即逝、又將起自深淵、終必淪胥以亡。舉世之人、凡其名自創世以來、未見錄於生命冊者、以其獸之一現即逝、而復勃興。咸將見而歎服。

第勿以鬼神服爾為喜、應以爾名書於天上自慶也。』

慎勿以此為怪、蓋時有必至、凡在墓中者當聞厥音而興、善者復活以享永生、惡者復活以受天罰。

我所望於天主者、無論善人惡人悉將復活、即彼等亦未嘗不懷此盼望也。

故望爾等在時機未熟之前、勿遽下評斷；務須靜候主之來臨。屆時、彼必燭幽揚隱、揭曉人心之思慮；而人人必得公允之褒獎矣。
