乃為基督之寶血。基督乃無玷無染之羔羊！其受命誠在無始之始、其顯現則在茲末世。

天主於創世以前、夙在基督之身、予吾人以恩簡、俾吾人得成聖潔無瑕、對越所天。

至是王將謂右者曰：「爾等見寵於吾父者、自創世以來為爾所備之國、胥來承嗣。

爾適所見之獸、一現即逝、又將起自深淵、終必淪胥以亡。舉世之人、凡其名自創世以來、未見錄於生命冊者、以其獸之一現即逝、而復勃興。咸將見而歎服。

凡百折不撓、終克致勝者、必得被以白袍；吾當使厥名長留生命冊上、而永不見削、且認之於吾父及眾天神之前也。

聞其揚聲而言曰：「獻作祭牲之羔羊、允有大德、宜其受權、宜其受富、宜其受慧、宜其受能、宜其受尊、宜其受榮、宜其受祉！」

此聖教乃建立於永生期望之上、而永生乃真實無妄之天主所許於萬古之前、

翌日、如望見耶穌來就。乃曰：『此除免世罪、天主之羔羊也！

一切不淨及邪妄之徒、莫得而入；惟錄名於羔羊之生命冊者得入焉。

當時吾見寶座及四靈物前、諸老之間、一羔羊立焉；狀若適見殺者具七角七目；七目者、即充塞大地之天主七神也。羔羊詣位於寶座者之前、即自其右手取卷；既得卷、四靈物及二十四老咸俯伏羔羊前、各抱一琴、及滿貯靈香之金爐；靈香者、眾聖之祈禱也。諸老合奏新歌一曲、其詞曰：誰堪受其書而啟其緘兮、惟爾具斯大德、爾曾自獻為犧牲兮、流爾寶血；贖元元於各種各族兮、萬邦重譯；俾翕然歸返乎天主兮、以成神國；

第勿以鬼神服爾為喜、應以爾名書於天上自慶也。』

更望我親愛之莘疇、與諸姊妹通力合作。彼等已往助予傳揚福音、不遺餘力；即葛雷孟及其他錄名於生命書之同道、亦屢承其照拂也。

爾既守吾寬忍之道、吾亦當於全世之人遭受試練時、保爾於難。

識之哉、吾立於門而叩焉；如有聞吾之音而啟其戶者、吾必進而就之、且與之同食而對酌焉。

吾見其一首似已中傷瀕死、後竟醫治獲愈；普世奇之、翕然風從。人見龍之以權授獸、故拜龍兼拜獸曰：「猗歟盛哉、獸之為德！舉世無雙、天下無敵！」

世人以其有權暢行異蹟於海獸之前、多受其熒惑。彼乃慫慂世人、為受傷獲瘳之獸製像、復能授氣於像、令獸像作人言有敢不拜獸像者、殺無赦。
