So in my anger I took an oath:‘ They will never enter my place of rest.’”

我遂震怒而誓曰、必不容其人享我安息、

吾憤乃誓。不令安寧。

So I declared on oath in my anger,‘ They shall never enter my rest.’”

So when I was angry, I made a promise. I said,‘ They will never enjoy the rest I planned for them.’ ”

Therefore I swore in my wrath,“ They shall not enter my rest.”

So I swore in my anger,“ They will not enter my rest.”

Therefore I swore in My anger, They certainly shall not enter My rest.”

So I swore in My wrath,‘ They shall not enter My rest.’”

Wherefore I sware in my wrath, That they should not enter into my rest.

So I swore in My anger,“ They will not enter My rest.”

Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.

So I made a vow in my anger,‘ They will never enter into the resting place I had set aside for them.’”

Therefore I swore in my wrath,“ They won’t enter into my rest.”

For only we who believe can enter his rest. As for the others, God said,“ In my anger I took an oath:‘ They will never enter my place of rest,’” even though this rest has been ready since he made the world.

They will never even see the land I swore to give their ancestors. None of those who have treated me with contempt will ever see it.

But in the other passage God said,“ They will never enter my place of rest.”

So in my anger I took an oath:‘ They will never enter my place of rest.’”

And to whom was God speaking when he took an oath that they would never enter his rest? Wasn’t it the people who disobeyed him?

because you have not yet arrived at the place of rest, the land the Lord your God is giving you as your special possession.

Then Jesus said,“ Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

“ When the Lord heard your complaining, he became very angry. So he solemnly swore,‘ Not one of you from this wicked generation will live to see the good land I swore to give your ancestors,

And I heard a voice from heaven saying,“ Write this down: Blessed are those who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, they are blessed indeed, for they will rest from their hard work; for their good deeds follow them!”

Now tell them this:‘ As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do to you the very things I heard you say.You will all drop dead in this wilderness! Because you complained against me, every one of you who is twenty years old or older and was included in the registration will die.You will not enter and occupy the land I swore to give you. The only exceptions will be Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.

This is what the Lord says:“ Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls. But you reply,‘ No, that’s not the road we want!’

On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested from all his work.And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when he rested from all his work of creation.

“ Don’t point your finger at someone else and try to pass the blame! My complaint, you priests, is with you.So you will stumble in broad daylight, and your false prophets will fall with you in the night. So the priests are glad when the people sin!‘ And what the priests do, the people also do.’ So now I will punish both priests and people for their wicked deeds.They will eat and still be hungry. They will play the prostitute and gain nothing from it, for they have deserted the Lordto worship other gods.“ Wine has robbed my people of their understanding.
