不过为了避免这事在民间传扬更广，让我们威吓他们，不可再奉耶稣的名对任何人讲话。”

扫罗仍然向主的门徒们口吐凶杀威吓的话。他来到大祭司面前，求他发一些信函给大马士革各会堂，准许扫罗如果发现什么人属于这道，无论男女，都捆绑起来，带到耶路撒冷。

第二天，就是预备日的后一天，祭司长们和法利赛人在彼拉多那里聚集，说：“大人，我们想起当那个迷惑人的还活着时曾经说过：‘在第三天我要复活。’所以，请你下令严密看守那坟墓，一直到第三天，免得他的门徒们来把他偷走，然后对民众说他从死人中复活了，这样，那最后的迷惑就要比先前的更厉害了。”彼拉多对他们说：“你们有一队卫兵，尽你们所能，严密看守吧！”于是，他们带着卫兵去，用印封上墓口的石头，严密看守坟墓。

他们心里说：“我们要彻底制伏这些人！”他们在地上焚烧了神一切的会所。

在他眼中看来，只对末迪凯一人下手还不够，因为他们把末迪凯的民族告诉了哈曼；于是哈曼就图谋除灭亚哈随鲁全国所有的犹太人，就是末迪凯本族的人。亚哈随鲁王十二年的一月，就是尼散月，有人在哈曼面前为每一个月的每一日抽普珥，就是抽签，一直抽到十二月，就是亚达月。哈曼对亚哈随鲁王说：“有一个民族被打散，分散在你全国各省各民族之间；他们的法令与其他所有民族的都不相同，他们也不遵行王的法令，所以留下他们对王无益。如果王认为好，就请王下旨消灭他们；我将捐出一万他连得银子，交在管理国务的人手中，归入国库。”

让我们活活地囫囵吞掉他们，就像阴间吞掉那些下阴坑的人；

他必说话敌对至高者，折磨至高者的圣徒们，又企图更改所定的时候和法令；圣徒们将被交在他的手中一期、二期、半期。
