Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up.

You have sent many bitter troubles my way. But you will give me new life. Even if I’m almost in the grave, you will bring me back.

爾置余於深邃之淵、幽暗之所兮、維爾震怒、降災於余、波濤淹予兮、良朋密友、以余為疏、以余為醜、俱爾所使、余為俘囚、不能復出兮。余困苦而目眯、終日祈求、舉手向爾兮、人已沒世、豈可施能而救之兮、幽冥之眾、誰克起而頌美兮、入於陵墓者、詎得沾爾恩膏兮、陷於陰府者、豈能彰爾真實兮、幽暗之域、孰能仰爾經綸兮、百事消亡之所、誰得播揚爾仁義兮、耶和華兮、余籲呼於爾、清晨祈禱兮、爾何為棄予如遺、舍予不顧兮、余自幼遭難、瀕於死亡、爾俾余觳觫、悚然駭懼兮、爾怒震烈、降災我躬、俾我滅亡兮、禍患叢集、如水淹余、靡日不然兮。友朋遠余、惟與陰府為鄰、俱爾所使兮。

未終、耶穌大聲呼曰、㕽唎、㕽唎、啦嗎［口撒］［口駁］𠯈呢、譯即我之上帝、我之上帝、何以遺予、

我惟耶和華是賴、彼傾耳聽我祈兮、救我於深淵、出我於淤泥、使我固立、若處重巖兮。於是我歌新詩、讚美我上帝、眾見而寅畏、惟耶和華是恃兮、

然必復振興、若死者必甦、雖居塵土、將勃然起、謳歌不已、若草枯萎、既經雨露、必復向榮、斯邦之民、已死復生亦若是。

遂攜彼得、雅各、約翰、同行、驚訝哀慟、曰、我心甚憂、瀕死矣、爾曹居此儆醒、

耶和華又云、我必使惡人生於爾家、爾之骨肉奪爾嬪妃、白晝宣淫、為爾目擊。

對曰、吾子自知之、曰、彼脫大難、賴羔流血、曾滌厥衣、至於潔白、

曷不復振興余、俾余因爾而悅懌兮、

以爾不遺我魂於陰府、不俾爾之恭人朽於黃土、

彼基督僕、而余言若狂、我有大於此者、我愈賢勞、愈受箠楚、繫獄者屢矣、瀕死者屢矣、猶太人五次鞭我、每四十減一、余三次受杖、一次石擊、三次舟壞、一日一夜、余在深海、常為旅、於河流而危、遭寇而危、遇同宗而危、在異邦而危、邑中野外而危、航海而危、偽兄弟中而危、勤勞而苦、屢不寢、饑而渴、常禁食、寒而裸、此外事也、若諸會之事、則又余日所關心、誰信不篤、而余不體之乎、誰棄信、而我心不如焚乎、若我當誇、必誇我柔、恆久可頌吾主耶穌基督之父上帝、知吾不偽矣、

謂之昇者、必先降於下土、

然不可久繫於死、故上帝釋而甦之、

此我咸證耶穌乃上帝所復生者、既高舉在上帝右、受父所許之聖神、則以此降賦、是爾曹所見所聞也、夫大闢固未以身升天、而當時言曰、主謂我主云、坐吾右、
