耶和華是受欺壓之人的避難所，是他們患難之時的避風港。

危難之時，祂保護我，把我藏在祂的聖幕裡，高高地安置在磐石上。

安居在至高者隱秘處的人，必蒙全能者的蔭庇。

你把他們藏在你那裡，使他們得到庇護，免遭世人暗算。你使他們在你的居所安然無恙，免受惡言惡語的攻擊。

耶和華啊，求你救我脫離仇敵，我要到你那裡尋求庇護。

你們要向耶和華唱新歌，因為祂的作為奇妙，祂以右手和聖潔的臂膀施行拯救。

那一天，底波拉和巴拉高唱凱歌：

我看見一個好像夾雜著火的玻璃海，玻璃海上站著那些戰勝怪獸、獸像及獸名代號的人。他們手裡拿著上帝所賜的豎琴，口裡唱著上帝的奴僕摩西的歌和羔羊的歌：「全能的主上帝啊，你的作為偉大奇妙！萬國的王啊，你的道路公義真實！

耶和華啊，你必賜福給義人，你的恩惠像盾牌四面保護他們。

陰間的繩索曾捆綁我，死亡的陷阱曾威脅我。

耶和華從掃羅和所有仇敵手中拯救大衛那天，他向耶和華吟唱此詩：

祂賜給我一首新歌，一首讚美我們上帝的詩歌。許多人看見便敬畏、信靠耶和華。

大聲呼喊說：「救恩來自我們坐在寶座上的上帝，也來自羔羊！」

那時，摩西和以色列人便歌頌耶和華說：「我要歌頌耶和華，因祂大獲全勝，祂把戰馬騎兵都捲入海中。耶和華是我的力量，我的詩歌，也成了我的拯救；祂是我的上帝，我要讚美祂；祂是我父親的上帝，我要尊崇祂。耶和華是戰士，祂名叫耶和華。

因為你們的舊生命已經死了，你們的新生命與基督一同藏在上帝裡面。

惡人必多遭禍患，耶和華的慈愛必環繞信靠祂的人。

還命令自己的兒子耶拉篾、亞斯列的兒子西萊雅和亞伯德的兒子示利米雅去拘捕書記巴錄和耶利米先知。但耶和華把他們藏了起來。
