While they curse, may you bless; may those who attack me be put to shame, but may your servant rejoice.

They may curse me. But may you bless me. May those who attack me be put to shame. But may I be filled with joy.

Let them curse, but you will bless! They arise and are put to shame, but your servant will be glad!

他愛咒詛，願咒詛臨到他；他不喜愛祝福，願福樂遠離他。

神對巴蘭說：“你不可與他們同去，也不可咒詛那民，因為他們是蒙福的。”

因此主耶和華這樣說：“看哪！我的眾僕人必有吃的，你們卻要飢餓；看哪！我的僕人必有喝的，你們卻要口渴；看哪！我的僕人必要歡喜，你們卻要蒙羞；看哪！我的僕人必因心裡高興而歡呼，你們卻要因心中傷痛而哀叫，因靈裡破碎而哀號。你們必留下自己的名，作我選民的咒語；主耶和華必殺死你們，必用另外的名去稱呼他自己的僕人。所以，在地上為自己求福的，必憑著真實的神求福；在地上起誓的，必憑著真實的神起誓。因為先前的患難都已經被人忘記了，也從我的眼前隱藏了。

我奉命來祝福；神要賜福，我不能改變。

在雅各中沒有觀兆的，在以色列中也沒有占卜；到了適當的時候，必有話對雅各和以色列說：‘神為他們行了何等的大事！’

王說：“洗魯雅的兒子啊，我與你們有甚麼關係呢？如果他咒罵是因為耶和華對他說：‘你要咒罵大衛！’那麼誰敢說：‘你為甚麼這樣作呢？’”大衛又對亞比篩和他所有的臣僕說：“看哪！連我親生的兒子尚且尋索我的命，何況這便雅憫人呢？由他去吧，由他咒罵吧！因為這是耶和華吩咐他的。也許耶和華看見我的苦難，就施恩與我，以取代今天這人對我的咒罵。”於是大衛和跟從他的人繼續在大路上往前去。示每也沿著山坡，與大衛並排而行，一邊走，一邊咒罵，又用石頭投擲他，拿塵土揚他。

專一注視耶穌，就是那位信心的創造者和完成者。他因為那擺在面前的喜樂，就忍受了十字架，輕看了羞辱，現在就坐在神寶座的右邊。
