Cherish her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you.

Value wisdom highly, and she will lift you up. Hold her close, and she will honor you.

Prize her highly, and she will exalt you; she will honor you if you embrace her.

If you prize wisdom, she will make you great. Embrace her, and she will honor you.

因此永恆主以色列的上帝發神諭說：「我固然曾經說過：你和你父的家必永遠在我面前往來」，但現在永恆主卻發神諭說：「我絕不容你們這樣行了，因為尊重我的、我必重看他；藐視我的、他就必被輕視。

智慧人必承受尊榮以為業；愚頑人必自取羞辱。

在基遍、所羅門於夜間夢中，永恆主向他顯現；上帝對他說：『我要給你甚麼、你儘管求。』所羅門說：『你僕人我父親大衛怎樣以忠信、公義、正直的心、與你同在、行於你面前，你就怎樣向他施大而堅固的愛，又將這大而堅固的愛留給他，賜給他一個兒子坐他的王位，正如今日一樣。永恆主我的上帝啊，如今你使僕人接替我父親大衛作王，但我簡直是小孩，我不曉得怎樣出入。僕人住在你所揀選的人民中；這人民之多、實在多得不能統計，不能數點。求你賜給你僕人能聽案件的心，可以為你人民判斷，能夠辨別好壞；因為誰能為你這數量這麼重的人民判斷呢？』所羅門祈求這事，主很滿意。上帝對他說：『你既祈求這事，不為自己祈求長壽，不為自己祈求財富，也不祈求滅仇敵的性命，單單祈求聰明、可以聽案件，那麼我就照你的話行吧；看哪，我賜給你智慧聰明的心；在你以前沒有像你的，在你以後也沒有興起來像你的。你所沒有祈求的我也賜給你，就是財富、尊榮；儘你在世的日子、在列王中沒有一人能比得上你的。

通達人必閃耀着，像穹蒼那麼閃耀；那使大眾歸義的必如星辰、直到永永遠遠。

敬畏永恆主、存心謙卑、的賞報、乃是富足、尊榮、和生命。
