I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.

I have received my full pay and have more than enough. I have everything I need. That’s because Epaphroditus brought me the gifts you sent. They are a sweet- smelling offering. They are a gift that God accepts. He is pleased with it.

是則此項善舉不僅補聖徒之不足、抑且使眾心感謝天主、於以增益天主之光榮。

同時亦毋忘樂善助人、斯亦祭也；欲慰悅天心、莫善於此矣。

窮約之味、予固知之；寬裕之味、予亦知之；一切境遇、予已窺其堂奧、測其深淺、外物何有於我哉。故溫飽可也、凍餓亦可也；有餘可也、不足亦未始不可也。

力行愛德、亦如基督之愛爾也。彼竟為吾人之故、慨然以身獻於天主、作為祭祀牲牷、芳氣馥馥、有如馨香。

感荷天主洪恩、常使吾人藉耶穌基督而得凱旋；足跡所至、莫不播揚真諦之芬芳。蓋吾人乃基督所獻於天主之馨香也；蒙救者聞焉、沉淪者亦聞焉；惟於後者實為肅殺之陰氣、而於前者則為令人永生之淑氣耳。嗚呼、誰堪負此重任乎？

爾等亦當勉成具有生命之小石、俾充建造聖殿之材料、而作神聖之司鐸；仰賴耶穌基督、奉獻精神上之祭祀以望天主之悅納、
