You found his heart faithful to you, and you made a covenant with him to give to his descendants the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites and Girgashites. You have kept your promise because you are righteous.

You knew that his heart was faithful to you. And you made a covenant with him. You promised to give to his children after him a land of their own. It was the land of the Canaanites, Hittites and Amorites. The Perizzites, Jebusites and Girgashites also lived there. You have kept your promise. That’s because you always do what is right and fair.

亞伯蘭信耶和華、耶和華以此為其義、

當日耶和華與亞伯蘭約、曰、我以斯土、賜爾苗裔、自埃及河、至伯拉大河、即基尼、基尼洗、甲摩尼、赫、比利洗、利乏音、亞摩利、迦南、革迦撒、耶布斯諸族之地、

既有二不易之事、上帝固不能誑我儕、既已逃避、持守所置吾前之望、大得慰藉、

我必與爾及爾歷世苗裔、立我永約、為爾及爾苗裔之上帝、爾今所旅之地、即迦南全境、我將賜爾、及爾苗裔、以為永業、我亦為其上帝、○

今我將行舉世必行之路、爾乃一心一意、知爾上帝耶和華所許賜爾之福、無或少遺、無一弗應、

耶和華顯見於亞伯蘭曰、我將以斯土賜爾苗裔、亞伯蘭為顯見之耶和華、築壇於彼、

耶和華以全地賜以色列人、即昔誓許其列祖者、以色列人據而居之、耶和華使之四周綏安、如其所誓厥祖之言、以敵付於其手、諸敵莫之能禦、耶和華所許錫嘏以色列家、其言悉應無遺、

爾之入據其地、非為爾義、及心之正、乃爾上帝耶和華因斯族之惡、而驅逐之、以踐所誓爾祖亞伯拉罕以撒雅各之言、

希望無誑之上帝、在永世前所許之永生、

我祖亞伯拉罕獻子以撒於壇、非由行見義乎、可見其信與行同工、且信由行而成全、乃應經所云、亞伯拉罕信上帝、義遂歸之、且稱為上帝友、

永念其約、所諭之言、千代不忘、即與亞伯拉罕所立之約、對以撒所發之誓、

既廢之、舉大衛為王、為之證曰、我得耶西子大衛、其人愜我心、將悉行我旨也、

感謝以能賜我者、我主基督耶穌是也、彼視我為忠、任我以職、昔我為謗讟窘逐狎侮者、但我所行、乃由不知不信、故蒙矜恤、

惟因耶和華悅爾、欲踐所誓爾祖之言、以大能手導爾出、贖爾於奴隸之室、拯爾於埃及王法老之手、當知惟爾上帝耶和華為上帝、乃信實之上帝、愛之而守其誡者、彼必為之踐約施恩、迄於千代、

亞伯拉罕有信、見試時獻以撒、即欣承諸許者、獻其獨生之子、

暮年猶結其實、汁滿而色青兮、以彰耶和華之正直、彼乃我之磐石、無有不義兮、

約書亞循耶和華諭摩西之命、取斯全地、以給以色列人為業、依其支派班列、厥後其地息戰、

施矜恤於我列祖、念其聖約、即與我祖亞伯拉罕所矢之誓、

見當時之祭司曰、我今敬告爾上帝耶和華、耶和華所誓許我祖、錫我之地、我已至之、

耶和華諭亞伯蘭曰、爾其出故土、離戚族、遠父家、往我所示之地、我將使爾成為大邦、錫嘏於爾、丕顯爾名、爾為福源、祝爾者吾亦祝之、詛爾者吾亦詛之、天下萬族、將緣爾獲福焉、

及居東西之迦南人、與亞摩利人、赫人、比利洗人、並居山地之耶布斯人、米斯巴地、黑門山麓之希未人、

上帝非人、致誑於言、亦非人子、致回厥意、既有言、詎不行之、既出辭、詎不踐之、

約但之西、山地、窪地、及利巴嫩相對大海之濱、赫人、亞摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人、諸王聞此、

今我降臨、以拯之於埃及人手、導出其境、以至膏腴寬廣、流乳與蜜之地、即迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人之境、

若承我罪、彼乃信義、必赦我罪、潔我諸不義矣、

曰、耶和華云、爾既行是、不惜獨生之子、我則指己而誓、必錫爾嘏、昌熾爾裔、如天上之星、如海濱之沙、爾裔必據諸敵之邑、緣爾遵我命、天下萬民、將因爾裔而獲福、

曰、爾於孺子、勿著手、勿加傷、蓋爾於我、不惜獨生之子、我知爾寅畏上帝矣、

迨爾上帝耶和華、導爾入所往據之地、驅逐諸族、即赫人、革迦撒人、亞摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人、此七族較爾強大、

導民欣然而出、選民謳歌而出兮、賜以列邦之地、異族勞而備者、承之為業兮、

我已言之、必導爾出埃及之苦、至流乳與蜜之地、即迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人之境、
