But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Therefore you did not desert them,

But You, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, Slow to anger and abundant in mercy and truth.

They did not remember His power, The day when He redeemed them from the enemy,When He performed His signs in Egypt And His marvels in the field of Zoan,

Let the wicked abandon his way, And the unrighteous person his thoughts; And let him return to the Lord, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.“ For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.“ For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts.

They quickly forgot His works; They did not wait for His plan,

And tear your heart and not merely your garments.” Now return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and compassionate, Slow to anger, abounding in mercy And relenting of catastrophe.

Many times He would rescue them; They, however, were rebellious in their plan, And they sank down into their guilt.Nevertheless He looked at their distress When He heard their cry;And He remembered His covenant for their sake, And relented according to the greatness of His mercy.He also made them objects of compassion In the presence of all their captors.

But He, being compassionate, forgave their wrongdoing and did not destroy them; And often He restrained His anger And did not stir up all His wrath.

Then they rejected the pleasant land; They did not believe His word,But grumbled in their tents; They did not listen to the voice of the Lord.

Our fathers in Egypt did not understand Your wonders; They did not remember Your abundant kindnesses, But rebelled by the sea, at the Red Sea.

‘ The Lord is slow to anger and abundant in mercy, forgiving wrongdoing and violation of His Law; but He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, inflicting the punishment of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generations.’Please forgive the guilt of this people in accordance with the greatness of Your mercy, just as You also have forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.”

So why is the Lord bringing us into this land to fall by the sword? Our wives and our little ones will become plunder! Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?”So they said to one another,“ Let’s appoint a leader and return to Egypt!”

The Lord is compassionate and gracious, Slow to anger and abounding in mercy.He will not always contend with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever.He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor rewarded us according to our guilty deeds.For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him.As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our wrongdoings from us.Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.For He Himself knows our form; He is mindful that we are nothing but dust.As for man, his days are like grass; Like a flower of the field, so he flourishes.When the wind has passed over it, it is no more, And its place no longer knows about it.But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting for those who fear Him, And His justice to the children’s children,To those who keep His covenant And remember His precepts, so as to do them.

Indeed, you have not brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey, nor have you given us an inheritance of fields and vineyards. Would you gouge out the eyes of these men? We will not come up!”

Who is a God like You, who pardons wrongdoing And passes over a rebellious act of the remnant of His possession? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy.He will again take pity on us; He will trample on our wrongdoings. Yes, You will cast all their sins Into the depths of the sea.

But there is forgiveness with You, So that You may be revered.

Therefore, I will always be ready to remind you of these things, even though you already know them and have been established in the truth which is present with you.I consider it right, as long as I am in this earthly dwelling, to stir you up by way of reminder,knowing that the laying aside of my earthly dwelling is imminent, as also our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.And I will also be diligent that at any time after my departure you will be able to call these things to mind.

Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed,“ The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in faithfulness and truth;who keeps faithfulness for thousands, who forgives wrongdoing, violation of His Law, and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, inflicting the punishment of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.”

And I will dwell among the sons of Israel, and will not abandon My people Israel.”

And the Lord said to Moses,“ How long will this people be disrespectful to Me? And how long will they not believe in Me, despite all the signs that I have performed in their midst?

The Lord is gracious and compassionate; Slow to anger and great in mercy.The Lord is good to all, And His mercies are over all His works.

Our fathers were unwilling to be obedient to him; on the contrary they rejected him and turned back to Egypt in their hearts,

Do you not yet understand nor remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets you picked up?Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many large baskets you picked up?How is it that you do not understand that I did not speak to you about bread? But beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”

to the praise of the glory of His grace, with which He favored us in the Beloved.In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our wrongdoings, according to the riches of His grace

But Moses said,“ Why then are you violating the command of the Lord, when doing so will not succeed?

For He says to Moses,“ I will have mercy on whomever I have mercy, and I will show compassion to whomever I show compassion.”

See to it that you do not refuse Him who is speaking. For if those did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape who turn away from Him who warns us from heaven.

Because I called and you refused, I stretched out my hand and no one paid attention;

May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers; may He not leave us nor forsake us,
