Then was the king exceeding glad, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he had trusted in his God.

In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city; salvation will he appoint for walls and bulwarks.Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth faith may enter in.Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in thee.Trust ye in Jehovah for ever; for in Jehovah, even Jehovah, is an everlasting rock.

Blessed is the man that trusteth in Jehovah, and whose trust Jehovah is.For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, that spreadeth out its roots by the river, and shall not fear when heat cometh, but its leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Good and upright is Jehovah: Therefore will he instruct sinners in the way.

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble: I will deliver him, and honor him.

Nebuchadnezzar spake and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed- nego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and have yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubim a huge host, with chariots and horsemen exceeding many? yet, because thou didst rely on Jehovah, he delivered them into thy hand.For the eyes of Jehovah run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly; for from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

Blessed be Jehovah my rock, Who teacheth my hands to war, And my fingers to fight:My lovingkindness, and my fortress, My high tower, and my deliverer; My shield, and he in whom I take refuge; Who subdueth my people under me.

And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts; And I will declare thy greatness.They shall utter the memory of thy great goodness, And shall sing of thy righteousness.Jehovah is gracious, and merciful; Slow to anger, and of great lovingkindness.Jehovah is good to all; And his tender mercies are over all his works.All thy works shall give thanks unto thee, O Jehovah; And thy saints shall bless thee.

And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of contumely; for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth.It may be Jehovah thy God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to defy the living God, and will rebuke the words which Jehovah thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that is left.

He only is my rock and my salvation: He is my high tower; I shall not be moved.With God is my salvation and my glory: The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.Trust in him at all times, ye people; Pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us.[ Selah

with him is an arm of flesh; but with us is Jehovah our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.

And Jehovah sent an angel, who cut off all the mighty men of valor, and the leaders and captains, in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he was come into the house of his god, they that came forth from his own bowels slew him there with the sword.

He trusteth on God; let him deliver him now, if he desireth him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

Doth not Hezekiah persuade you, to give you over to die by famine and by thirst, saying, Jehovah our God will deliver us out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Behold then the goodness and severity of God: toward them that fell, severity; but toward thee, God’s goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
