耶穌不顧其所言、謂司會堂者曰、毋懼、惟信而已、

耶穌聞所告之言、謂司會堂者曰、毋懼、惟當信、

Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him,“ Don’t be afraid; just believe.”

Jesus heard what they were saying. He told the synagogue leader,“ Don’t be afraid. Just believe.”

But overhearing what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue,“ Do not fear, only believe.”

But Jesus overheard them and said to Jairus,“ Don’t be afraid. Just have faith.”

When Jesus overheard what was said, he told the synagogue leader,“ Don’t be afraid. Only believe.”

But Jesus, overhearing what was being spoken,* said to the synagogue official,“ Do not be afraid, only believe.”

As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue,“ Do not be afraid; only believe.”

But Jesus, not heeding the word spoken, saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Fear not, only believe.

But when Jesus overheard what was said, He told the synagogue leader,“ Don’t be afraid. Only believe.”

As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.

But Jesus, paying no attention to what was said, told the synagogue ruler,“ Do not be afraid; just believe.”

But Jesus, when he heard the message spoken, immediately said to the ruler of the synagogue,“ Don’t be afraid, only believe.”

耶穌聞言、謂之曰：『毋懼！第信、必救汝女。』

耶穌回寓、盲者隨至；乃詢之曰：『爾等果信予能行此乎？』對曰：『主、信也。』乃撫其目曰：『依爾之信、玉汝於成。』

耶穌謂之曰：『女兒、汝之信德、玉汝於成矣。平安以歸、享爾健康。』

亞伯漢於無望之中、懷無窮之望；且深信其必成萬邦之父、一如天主所示：「爾之苗裔、將同繁星」之金諾。故雖明知己之將近百歲、精力枯竭、且明知灑蕾之久已絕孕；然信心未因此而稍衰、一心惟主之恩諾是恃、毫無狐疑之意、信德日益堅固、歸榮於主、深知主之所諾、主能成之；此彼之所以成義也。夫經載其稱義、非徒為彼故、亦欲勉吾人因信而成義耳。吾人所信者何、即天主使吾主耶穌死中復活；

耶穌曰：『倘爾能信、於信者萬事皆可能也。』

耶穌曰：『予不曾云汝但能信、必獲睹天主之光榮乎？』

王臣曰：『主乎！及吾兒未死、懇即辱臨！』耶穌曰：『且返、爾子活矣！』其人信耶穌言、即辭去；其僕遇之途中、告曰：『爾子活矣！』

惟此類魔鬼、非禱與齋、亦不能祛耳。』
