Others, like seed sown on rocky places, hear the word and at once receive it with joy.

And what is seed scattered on rocky places like? The people hear the message. At once they receive it with joy.

And these are the ones sown on rocky ground: the ones who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy.

The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy.

And others are like seed sown on rocky ground. When they hear the word, immediately they receive it with joy.

And in a similar way these are the ones sown with seed on the rocky places, who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy;

These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness;

And these in like manner are they that are sown upon the rocky places, who, when they have heard the word, straightway receive it with joy;

And these are the ones sown on rocky ground: when they hear the word, immediately they receive it with joy.

And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;

These are the ones sown on rocky ground: As soon as they hear the word, they receive it with joy.

These in the same way are those who are sown on the rocky places, who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with joy.

因為希律敬畏約翰，知道他是正義聖潔的人，直保護他。他聽了他，就大大為難，但也喜歡聽他。

那些在磐石上的、是人聽了道、就歡歡喜喜地接受；這些沒有根，是暫時相信的；在受試煉時就背棄了。

那個人是點𤏲而發亮的燈，你們情願暫時以他的光為歡樂。

他們來見你、如同人民之來；他們坐在你面前彷彿是我的人民；其實他們聽你的話，卻不去行；因為他們只是用口表示着愛，他們的心卻追求着不義之財。看哪，他們以你為善於作樂、出美麗聲音唱愛情歌之人呢！但他們聽你的話，卻不去行。

西門見藉着使徒的按手，便有聖靈賜下來，就將錢獻給使徒，說：『把這權柄也給我，使我無論給誰按手，誰就可以受聖靈。』彼得對他說：『你的銀子跟你一同滅亡！因為你以為上帝白白的恩是可以用錢買得來的。你在這道上、沒有份也沒有業，因為你的心在上帝面前本就不正。

保羅辯論到公義、節制、和將來的審判時，腓力斯很覺得懼怕，就應時說：『如今你暫且去，得機會我就打發人去叫你來』。同時腓力斯也指望保羅有錢送給他，因此更常常打發人去叫保羅來和他談論。

有一個經學士上前來、對他說：『先生，你無論往哪裏去，我都要跟從你。』耶穌對他說：『狐狸有洞，空中的飛鳥有窩，惟獨人子沒有枕頭的地方！』

西門自己也信了；既受了洗，就常和腓利在一起；他看見所行的神迹和大異能，就驚奇。

耶穌出行在路上，有一個人跑上前來，跪在他面前，問他說：『良善的先生，我該作甚麼、才可以承受永生啊？』耶穌對他說：『你為甚麼稱我為善的？除了一位、就是上帝、沒有一個善的。誡命你曉得：「不可殺人；不可行姦淫；不可偷竊；不可作假見證；不可詐取人；要孝敬父親和母親。」』他對耶穌說：『先生，這一切我從我幼時就都遵守了。』耶穌定睛看了看他，愛他，就對他說：『你缺少一件；去變賣你所有的，給予窮人，你就有財寶在天上；你來吧，來跟從我。』因了這話，他臉色一變，就憂憂愁愁的走了；因為他有很多的田產。

亞基帕對保羅說：『你想用幾句話勸誘我做基督徒麼？』
