Then Jesus said,“ Leave her alone. Why are you bothering her? She has done a noble thing for Me.

Aware of this, Jesus said to them,“ Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a noble thing for me.

For it is not the one commending himself who is approved, but the one the Lord commends.

No weapon formed against you will succeed, and you will refute any accusation raised against you in court. This is the heritage of the LORD’s servants, and their vindication is from me.” This is the LORD’s declaration.

He gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for himself a people for his own possession, eager to do good works.

in everything. Make yourself an example of good works with integrity and dignity in your teaching.

And God is able to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work.

encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good work and word.

and is well known for good works— that is, if she has brought up children, shown hospitality, washed the saints’ feet, helped the afflicted, and devoted herself to every good work.

After the LORD had finished speaking to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite,“ I am angry with you and your two friends, for you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.Now take seven bulls and seven rams, go to my servant Job, and offer a burnt offering for yourselves. This saying is trustworthy. I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed God might be careful to devote themselves to good works. These are good and profitable for everyone.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.

equip you with everything good to do his will, working in us what is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

So if anyone purifies himself from anything dishonorable, he will be a special instrument, set apart, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.

And let us consider one another in order to provoke love and good works,

so that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God,

Let our people learn to devote themselves to good works for pressing needs, so that they will not be unfruitful.

Conduct yourselves honorably among the Gentiles, so that when they slander you as evildoers, they will observe your good works and will glorify God on the day he visits.

Instruct them to do what is good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and willing to share,

so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha( which is translated Dorcas). She was always doing good works and acts of charity.

Jesus replied,“ I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these works are you stoning me?”“ We aren’t stoning you for a good work,” the Jews answered,“ but for blasphemy, because you— being a man— make yourself God.”
