『至於彼時彼日、無人知之。天神不知、人子亦不知、惟父知之。

“ But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

“ But no one knows about that day or hour. Not even the angels in heaven know. The Son does not know. Only the Father knows.

“ But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

“ However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.

“ Now concerning that day or hour no one knows— neither the angels in heaven nor the Son— but only the Father.

耶稣对他们说：“父凭着自己的权柄所定的时候、日期，不是你们可以知道的。

所以，你们要警醒；因为那日子，那时辰，你们不知道。”

“但那日子，那时辰，没有人知道，连天上的使者也不知道，子也不知道，惟独父知道。挪亚的日子怎样，人子降临也要怎样。当洪水以前的日子，人照常吃喝嫁娶，直到挪亚进方舟的那日；不知不觉洪水来了，把他们全都冲去。人子降临也要这样。那时，两个人在田里，取去一个，撇下一个。两个女人推磨，取去一个，撇下一个。所以，你们要警醒，因为不知道你们的主是哪一天来到。

弟兄们，论到时候、日期，不用写信给你们，因为你们自己明明晓得，主的日子来到，好像夜间的贼一样。

那时，他们要看见人子有大能力、大荣耀，驾云降临。他要差遣天使，把他的选民，从四方，从地极直到天边，都招聚了来。”

半夜有人喊着说：‘新郎来了，你们出来迎接他！’

过了许久，那些仆人的主人来了，和他们算账。

但主的日子要像贼来到一样。那日，天必大有响声废去，有形质的都要被烈火销化，地和其上的物都要烧尽了。

所以要回想你是怎样领受、怎样听见的，又要遵守，并要悔改。若不警醒，我必临到你那里，如同贼一样。我几时临到，你也决不能知道。

耶稣基督的启示，就是神赐给他，叫他将必要快成的事指示他的众仆人。他就差遣使者晓谕他的仆人约翰。
