長者或作牧伯伸手索賄、以非為是、或作手皆行惡且盡力行之長者索賄士師審判求利、大夫所言惟私慾、彼此聯絡為非、若編繩索、

Both hands are skilled in doing evil; the ruler demands gifts, the judge accepts bribes, the powerful dictate what they desire— they all conspire together.

They are very good at doing what is evil. Rulers require gifts. Judges accept money from people who want special favors. Those who are powerful always get what they want. All of them make evil plans together.

Their hands are on what is evil, to do it well; the prince and the judge ask for a bribe, and the great man utters the evil desire of his soul; thus they weave it together.

Both their hands are equally skilled at doing evil! Officials and judges alike demand bribes. The people with influence get what they want, and together they scheme to twist justice.

Both hands are good at accomplishing evil: the official and the judge demand a bribe; when the powerful man communicates his evil desire, they plot it together.

As for evil, both hands do it well. The leader asks for a bribe, also the judge, And the great one speaks the capricious desire of his soul; So they plot it together.

That they may successfully do evil with both hands— The prince asks for gifts, The judge seeks a bribe, And the great man utters his evil desire; So they scheme together.

Their hands are upon that which is evil to do it diligently; the prince asketh, and the judge is ready for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth the evil desire of his soul: thus they weave it together.

其首領、為了賄賂而行審判，其祭司為了雇價而指教禮節，其神言人為了銀錢而行占卜，居然倚靠永恆主而宣稱說：『永恆主不是在我們中間麼？災禍必不會臨到我們。』

因為他們若不行惡，就睡不着覺；若不使人跌倒，其安眠就被奪去。因為他們喫的是奸惡飯，他們喝的是強暴酒。

因為我知道你們的過犯多麼多，你們的罪多麼大：你們這些苦待義人，收受贖金、在城門口屈枉窮人的。

因此我必將他們的妻子給別人，將他們的田地給那能擁為己業的；因為他們從最小的到至大的、都一味貪圖不義之財；從神言人到祭司都行虛假。

所以定時未到以前、甚麼都不要論斷了；只等主來，他不但要照明暗中的隱密事，也要顯露人心中的計謀；那時應得的稱讚、自會由上帝分給各人了。

她的首領在她裏邊正彷彿豺狼抓撕所抓到之物；他們行兇流人的血，殺滅人的性命，要得不義之財。

你的大官倔強要造反，跟盜賊作伴；個個都喜愛賄賂，追求私酬；他們不為孤兒伸冤；寡婦的案件呈不到他們面前。

文書上寫着說：『你們要宣告禁食，叫拿伯坐在民間的首位上，又叫兩個無賴子一類的人坐在拿伯對面，作見證告他說：「你曾經謗讟上帝和王」；隨即把他拉出去、拿石頭打他、打到他死去。』拿伯城裏的人、那些在他城裏居住的長老和顯貴的人、就照耶洗別所送給他們的文書去行。他們照送給他們的文書裏所寫的宣告禁食，叫拿伯坐在民間的首位上。有兩個無賴子一類的人來，坐在拿伯對面；無賴子當着眾民面前作見證告拿伯說：『拿伯曾經謗讟上帝和王』；眾人就把他拉出城外，拿石頭打他打到死。於是打發人去見耶洗別，說：『拿伯被石頭打到死了。』

嘿，一羣醉漢！一味行淫；他們深愛羞辱、勝過他們所誇耀的。

因為你看，永恆主從他的所在出來，要察罰地上居民的罪孽；地必暴露地上的血，不再掩蓋着被殺的人了。

『看哪，以色列的眾首領各逞其權勢都在你中間要流人血呢。

說：『你們願意給我甚麼，我就把他送交給你們？』他們就秤了三十錠銀子給他。

你心裏想：難道永恆主要永遠懷怒？要長久存着義忿麼？」看哪，你雖這麼說了，你卻盡所能地去作壞事！』

這時有幾萬人的羣眾聚攏來，甚至彼此踐踏；耶穌開始先對他的門徒說：『你們要自己注意，提防法利賽人的酵、就是假冒為善。但完全掩蓋的事沒有不被揭露的；隱藏的事也沒有不被知道的。
