「你們不要為自己在地上積蓄財寶，地上有蟲蛀，會鏽蝕，也有盜賊鑽進來偷竊；

“不要为自己积攒财宝在地上；地上有虫子咬，能锈坏，也有贼挖窟窿来偷。

“不要为自己在世上积攒财宝，世上有虫子咬，会生锈，又有贼闯进来偷。

“不可为自己在地上积聚财宝，因为地上有虫蛀，有锈侵蚀，也有贼挖洞来偷。

“你们不要为自己在地上积蓄财宝，地上有虫蛀，会锈蚀，也有盗贼钻进来偷窃；

「不要為自己積攢財寶在地上；地上有蟲子咬，能銹壞，也有賊挖窟窿來偷。

「不要為自己在地上積蓄財寶；地上有蟲子咬，能銹壞，也有賊挖洞來偷。

「不要為自己在世上積攢財寶，世上有蟲子咬，會生銹，又有賊闖進來偷。

“不可為自己在地上積聚財寶，因為地上有蟲蛀，有鏽侵蝕，也有賊挖洞來偷。

『別為自己積儹財寶在地上了；地上有蟲子和鏽能弄壞，地上有賊能挖窟窿來偷。

勿積財於地、其處蠹蝕銹壞、盜穴而竊之、

勿積財於地蠹食銹壞、盜穴而竊之處、

勿積財於地、彼有蠹蝕朽壞、有盜穿窬而竊、

爾毋儲富於地；蠹蝕焉、銹敗焉、竊者穿窬而盜焉。

“ Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal:

“ Don’t collect for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

“ Do not accumulate for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.

“ Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal;

你們行事為人不要愛錢財，要以現有的為滿足，因為神自己說過：「我絕不撇下你，也絕不離棄你。」

「那為自己積蓄財富而在神面前不富足的人，也是這樣。」

現在來吧，你們這些富有的人哪！應當為那些將要臨到你們的慘禍而痛哭、哀號！你們的財富腐爛了；你們的衣服被蟲蛀了；你們的金銀也生鏽了，這鏽將成為控告你們的見證，又要像火那樣吃你們的肉。在這末後的日子裡，你們竟然積蓄財富！

不要辛勞求富，要有悟性，適可而止。你的目光飛向財富，它卻不見了；因為財富必定長出翅膀，如鷹飛向天空。

不過有了吃的、穿的，我們將以此為滿足。至於那些想發財的人就會陷入試探、網羅以及很多無知有害的欲望裡；這些欲望使人沉溺在敗壞和滅亡中。要知道，貪愛金錢是萬惡之根；有些人戀慕金錢，就被迷惑而離開了信仰，用很多苦痛把自己刺透了。

對那些今世富有的人，你當吩咐他們不可高傲自大，也不可把盼望寄託在靠不住的財富上，而要寄託在神身上，神把萬物豐豐富富地賜給我們享受。

耶穌聽了就對他說：「你還缺少一件：把你所擁有的一切都賣掉，分給窮人，這樣你將有財寶在天上；然後你來跟從我。」

獲得智慧多麼好，勝過得金子；獲得悟性，勝過得精選的銀子。

你們當賣掉自己所擁有的，施捨給人，為自己預備不會破舊的錢包和沒有窮盡的財寶在天上；在那裡盜賊不能靠近，也沒有蟲咬蝕。

貪愛銀子的不會因銀子滿足，貪愛財富的也不會因利益滿足。這也是虛空！財物增加，吃用的人也增加，而主人除了眼看以外，還有什麼益處呢？勞力的人無論吃多吃少，都睡得甜美；富有人的豐足，卻不容他安睡。我看到在日光之下有一件令人痛心的悲苦之事：財主所積存的財富導致了他的悲苦，那財富也在悲苦的事中消亡了；所以當他生兒子的時候，自己的手中卻一無所有。

在盛怒的日子裡財物沒有益處；唯有公義解救人脫離死亡。

耶穌看見他變得很憂愁，就說：「有錢財的人進入神的國，是多麼困難！

你不要依靠欺壓，也不要妄想搶奪；即使財富增加，也不要放在心上。

人們往來行走，只是幻像；他們喧鬧，也是虛空；他們積聚，卻不知道誰會收取。

耶穌對他說：「如果你想要成為完全的，就當去賣掉你所擁有的，分給窮人，這樣你將有財寶在天上；然後你來跟從我。」

原來神把智慧、知識和喜樂賜給他所喜悅的人；至於罪人，神加給他們擔子，讓他們去收取、積聚，好給神所喜悅的人。這也是虛空，也是捕風！
