We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers and sisters. The one who does not love remains in death.Everyone who hates his brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life remaining in him.

Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,and do not give the devil an opportunity.

And the tongue is a fire, the very world of unrighteousness; the tongue is set among our body’s parts as that which defiles the whole body and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell.

All bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and slander must be removed from you, along with all malice.Be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

to slander no one, not to be contentious, to be gentle, showing every consideration for all people.

and while being abusively insulted, He did not insult in return; while suffering, He did not threaten, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;

And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

And in Hades he raised his eyes, being in torment, and* saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his arms.And he cried out and said,‘ Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus, so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.’

For the poor will not cease to exist in the land; therefore I am commanding you, saying,‘ You shall fully open your hand to your brother, to your needy and poor in your land.’

Then Peter came up and said to Him,“ Lord, how many times shall my brother sin against me and I still forgive him? Up to seven times?”

Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor,

Early in the morning the chief priests with the elders, scribes, and the entire Council immediately held a consultation; and they bound Jesus and led Him away, and turned Him over to Pilate.

Now the chief priests and the entire Council were trying to obtain testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, and they were not finding any.

not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you would inherit a blessing.

My heavenly Father will also do the same to you, if each of you does not forgive his brother from your heart.”

Therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees convened a council meeting, and they were saying,“ What are we doing in regard to the fact that this man is performing many signs?

But be on guard against people, for they will hand you over to the courts and flog you in their synagogues;

They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, And have fought against me without cause.

But I say to you, take no oath at all, neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God,

A wise person is cautious and turns away from evil, But a fool is arrogant and careless.

If I have done evil to my friend, Or have plundered my enemy for no reason,

“ Then He will also say to those on His left,‘ Depart from Me, you accursed people, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;

and that no one violate the rights and take advantage of his brother or sister in the matter, because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also told you previously and solemnly warned you.

Now the chief priests and the entire Council kept trying to obtain false testimony against Jesus, so that they might put Him to death.

“ And if your hand or your foot is causing you to sin, cut it off and throw it away from you; it is better for you to enter life maimed or without a foot, than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into the eternal fire.And if your eye is causing you to sin, tear it out and throw it away from you. It is better for you to enter life with one eye, than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fiery hell.

“ Because of violence to your brother Jacob, Shame will cover you, And you will be eliminated forever.

Therefore, if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there you remember that your brother has something against you,leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering.

And having been perfected, He became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey Him,

This is the Moses who said to the sons of Israel,‘ God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your countrymen.’

The crowd answered,“ You have a demon! Who is seeking to kill You?”

nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor those habitually drunk, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.

But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who, after He has killed someone, has the power to throw that person into hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him!

Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.

And some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers as well were conversing with him. Some were saying,“ What could this scavenger of tidbits want to say?” Others,“ He seems to be a proclaimer of strange deities,”— because he was preaching Jesus and the resurrection.

but brother goes to law with brother, and that before unbelievers?

See to it that you do not refuse Him who is speaking. For if those did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape who turn away from Him who warns us from heaven.

Do not gloat over your brother’s day, The day of his misfortune. And do not rejoice over the sons of Judah On the day of their destruction; Yes, do not boast On the day of their distress.

But Michael the archangel, when he disputed with the devil and argued about the body of Moses, did not dare pronounce against him an abusive judgment, but said,“ The Lord rebuke you!”

Indeed, none of those who wait for You will be ashamed; Those who deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed.

The people answered him in agreement with this statement, saying,“ This is what will be done for the man who kills him.”Now Eliab his oldest brother heard him when he spoke to the men; and Eliab’s anger burned against David and he said,“ Why is it that you have come down? And I said to them,“ We, according to our ability, have redeemed our Jewish brothers who were sold to the nations; now would you even sell your brothers that they may be sold to us?” Then they were silent and could not find a word to say.

But this has happened so that the word that is written in their Law will be fulfilled:‘ They hated Me for no reason.’

Then Asa was angry with the seer and put him in prison, for he was enraged at him for this. And Asa mistreated some of the people at the same time.

but for Cain and his offering He had no regard. So Cain became very angry and his face was gloomy.Then the Lord said to Cain,“ Why are you angry? And why is your face gloomy?

The fool has said in his heart,“ There is no God.” They are corrupt, they have committed detestable acts; There is no one who does good.

And if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off; it is better for you to enter life maimed, than, having your two hands, to go into hell, into the unquenchable fire.

but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.Now if your right eye is causing you to sin, tear it out and throw it away from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.And if your right hand is causing you to sin, cut it off and throw it away from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to go into hell.

But when the Pharisees heard this, they said,“ This man casts out demons only by Beelzebul the ruler of the demons.”

Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with wrath, and his facial expression was changed toward Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed nego. He answered by giving orders to heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated.

But are you willing to acknowledge, you foolish person, that faith without works is useless?

The Jews answered and said to Him,“ Do we not rightly say that You are a Samaritan, and You have a demon?”

Saul said,“ Listen now, son of Ahitub.” And he replied,“ Here I am, my lord.”Saul then said to him,“ Why have you and the son of Jesse conspired against me, in that you have given him bread and a sword, and have inquired of God for him, so that he would rise up against me by lying in ambush as it is this day?”Then Ahimelech answered the king and said,“ And who among all your servants is as faithful as David, the king’s own son in law, who is commander over your bodyguard, and is honored in your house?Did I just begin to inquire of God for him today? Far be it from me! Do not let the king impute anything against his servant or against any of the household of my father, because your servant knows nothing at all of this whole affair.”But the king said,“ You shall certainly die, Ahimelech, you and all your father’s household!”And the king said to the guards who were attending him,“ Turn around and put the priests of the Lord to death, because their hand also is with David and because they knew that he was fleeing and did not inform me.” But the servants of the king were unwilling to reach out with their hands to attack the priests of the Lord.Then the king said to Doeg,“ You, turn around and attack the priests!” And Doeg the Edomite turned around and attacked the priests, and he killed on that day eighty five men who wore the linen ephod.He also struck Nob the city of the priests with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and infants; he also struck oxen, donkeys, and sheep with the edge of the sword.But one son of Ahimelech the son of Ahitub, named Abiathar, escaped and fled to David.Abiathar informed David that Saul had killed the priests of the Lord.Then David said to Abiathar,“ I knew on that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would certainly tell Saul. I myself have turned against every person in your father’s household.Stay with me; do not be afraid, even though he who is seeking my life is seeking your life. For you are safe with me.”

For he sees that even wise people die; The foolish and the stupid alike perish And leave their wealth to others.

And his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers; and so they hated him and could not speak to him on friendly terms.

When Haman saw that Mordecai neither bowed down nor paid homage to him, Haman was filled with rage.But he considered it beneath his dignity to kill Mordecai alone, for they had told him who the people of Mordecai were; so Haman sought to annihilate all the Jews, the people of Mordecai, who were found throughout the kingdom of Ahasuerus.

Then Nebuchadnezzar in rage and anger gave orders to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed nego; then these men were brought before the king.

But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say,‘ He has a demon!’The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say,‘ Behold, a gluttonous man and a heavy drinker, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ And yet wisdom is vindicated by her deeds.”

Then Saul became very angry, for this lyric displeased him; and he said,“ They have given David credit for ten thousands, but to me they have given credit for only thousands! Now what more can he have but the kingdom?”And Saul eyed David with suspicion from that day on.

Then Saul’s anger burned against Jonathan, and he said to him,“ You son of a perverse, rebellious woman! Do I not know that you are choosing the son of Jesse to your own shame, and to the shame of your mother’s nakedness?For, as long as the son of Jesse lives on the earth, neither you nor your kingdom will be established. Now then, send men and bring him to me, for he is doomed to die!”But Jonathan replied to his father Saul and said to him,“ Why must he be put to death? What has he done?”Then Saul hurled his spear at him to strike and kill him; so Jonathan knew that his father had decided to put David to death.

I will raise up for them a prophet from among their countrymen like you, and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them everything that I command him.And it shall come about that whoever does not listen to My words which he speaks in My name, I Myself will require it of him.
