“经文士和法利赛人哪，你们这些伪善的人有祸了！因为你们洗净杯子、盘子的外面，里面却盛满了贪心和放纵。

「你們這假冒為善的文士和法利賽人有禍了！因為你們洗淨杯盤的外面，裏面卻盛滿了勒索和放蕩。

「你們這假冒為善的文士和法利賽人有禍了！因為你們洗淨杯盤的外面，裏面卻滿了貪婪和放蕩。

“虛偽的經學家和法利賽人哪，你們有禍了！你們洗淨杯盤的外面，裡面卻裝滿了搶奪和放蕩。

『經學士和法利賽人、假冒為善的人哪，你們有禍啊！因為你們潔淨杯盤的外面；裏面呢、卻滿了勒索和放縱。

「經文士和法利賽人哪，你們這些偽善的人有禍了！因為你們洗淨杯子、盤子的外面，裡面卻盛滿了貪心和放縱。

禍哉、爾偽善之士子與法利賽人乎、以爾潔杯盤之外、而內充以劫奪邪侈也、

偽善之士子、𠵽唎㘔人、其有禍乎、以爾潔杯盤之外、而劫奪非義充其內、

禍哉爾偽善之經士與法利賽人、因爾潔杯盤之外、內則充滿劫奪及非義、

哀哉爾經生與法利塞人、虛偽之徒也！蓋爾第潔杯盤之表、而內充貪污邪欲。

“ What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filthy— full of greed and self indulgence!

“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.

“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full from extortion and excess.

主对他说：“如今你们法利赛人洗净杯盘的外面，你们里面却满了贪婪和邪恶。无知的人哪！造外面的，不也造了里面吗？

因为出于心里的有种种恶念，如凶杀、奸淫、淫乱、偷盗、伪证、毁谤。这些才玷污人。至于不洗手吃饭，那并不玷污人。”

从市场来，若不洗净也不吃饭；他们还拘守好些别的规矩，如洗杯、罐、铜器、床铺等。法利赛人和文士问他说：“你的门徒为什么不照古人的传统，竟然用不洁净的手吃饭呢？”耶稣对他们说：“以赛亚指着你们假冒为善的人所预言的说得好。如经上所记：‘这百姓用嘴唇尊敬我，他们的心却远离我。他们把人的规条当作教义教导人；他们拜我也是枉然。’你们是离弃上帝的诫命，拘守人的传统。”耶稣又说：“你们诚然是废弃上帝的诫命，为要守自己的传统。摩西说：‘当孝敬父母’；又说：‘咒骂父母的，必须处死。’你们倒说：‘人若对父母说：我所当供奉你的已经作了各耳板’（各耳板就是奉献的意思），你们就容许他不必再奉养父母。这就是你们藉着继承传统，废了上帝的话。你们还做许多这样的事。”

这些人也因酒摇晃，因烈酒东倒西歪。祭司和先知因烈酒摇晃，被酒所困，因烈酒东倒西歪。他们错解默示，审判时不分是非。筵席上都满了呕吐的污秽，没有一处干净。
