倘爾一手一足使爾陷於罪、則斷而棄之、爾跛與殘入於生、勝如有兩手兩足而投於永火、

倘爾一手一足、引爾於惡、當斫而棄之；與其手足雙全而委於無盡之火、曷若殘跛而入永生之為愈乎？

耶穌聽了就對他說：「你還缺少一件：把你所擁有的一切都賣掉，分給窮人，這樣你將有財寶在天上；然後你來跟從我。」那個人聽了這些話就變得很憂愁，因為他極其富有。

就要喝神憤怒的酒，就是混合在神震怒之杯中那沒有稀釋的酒。他將要在聖天使們面前、羔羊面前，在烈火和硫磺中受折磨。

凡是名字沒有被記在生命冊上的人，都被丟進了火湖裡。

「結果這些人將離去，進入永遠的刑罰。然而，義人將進入永恆的生命。」

同樣，你們當中任何人，如果不向自己所擁有的一切告別，就不能做我的門徒。

那時王要對在左邊的人說：『你們這些被詛咒的人！離開我！進到那已經為魔鬼和他的使者們所預備好的永遠的火裡去！

就呼喚說：『我父亞伯拉罕，可憐我吧！請打發拉撒路用指頭蘸點水，涼一下我的舌頭吧，因為我在這火焰裡，極其痛苦！』

罪人在錫安懼怕，不敬虔的人被戰兢抓住，說：「我們中間誰能與吞噬之火同住？我們中間誰能與不滅之焰共居？」

但那些膽怯的、不信的、可憎的、殺人的、淫亂的、行邪術的、拜偶像的，和所有說謊的人，他們的份就在燃燒著烈火和硫磺的湖裡。這是第二次的死亡。」

你要羞辱你那些包銀的雕像和鍍金的鑄像，要拋棄它們如同拋棄汙穢之物，要對它們說：「給我出去！」

黑夜已深，白晝近了。所以，我們要脫去黑暗的行為，配上光明的兵器。

到那日，人必把那些為敬拜而造的金偶像和銀偶像拋給田鼠和蝙蝠；這是為了在耶和華起來震動大地的時候，他們能進入磐石縫、巖隙中，躲避耶和華令人恐懼的面和他威嚴的榮光。

原來，希律為了他弟弟菲利普的妻子希羅迪婭的緣故，拘捕了約翰，把他捆起來關進監獄。這是因為約翰一直對他說：「你占有這婦人是不可以的。」

神要在烈火中報應那些不認識神的人，以及那些不順從我們主耶穌福音的人；他們將受到刑罰，就是永遠的滅亡，從主面前被隔絕，離開他權能的榮耀。

「如果有人到我這裡來，而不恨自己的父親、母親、妻子、兒女、兄弟、姐妹，甚至自己的生命，他就不能做我的門徒。凡是不背著自己的十字架來跟從我的，也不能做我的門徒。

有一大群人來到他面前，帶著瘸腿的、瞎眼的、殘疾的、聾啞的還有許多其他人，把他們放在耶穌腳前；耶穌就使他們痊癒了。結果眾人看見聾啞的說話，殘疾的康復，瘸腿的行走，瞎眼的看見，都感到驚奇，就榮耀以色列的神。
