“你们让一棵树好，它的果子就好；你们让一棵树坏，它的果子就坏；这样，一棵树是凭着果子被认出来。

“你们或以为树好，果子也好；树坏，果子也坏；因为看果子就可以知道树。

“你们知道树好，果子也好；又知道树坏，果子也坏；因为看果子就可以知道树。

“你们知道树好，果子也好；又知道树坏，果子也坏；因为看果子就可以知道树。

“好树结好果子，坏树结坏果子，看果子就能知道树的好坏。

“你们种好树就结好果子，种坏树就结坏果子；凭着果子就能认出树来。

若云菓美、則樹亦美；若云樹惡、則菓亦惡。樹之美惡、因菓而知也。

凭着他们的果子，你们就能认出他们来。难道从荆棘上能收葡萄，从蒺藜中能收无花果吗？同样，好树都结好果子，坏树就结坏果子；好树不能结坏果子，坏树也不能结好果子。所有不结好果子的树都要被砍下来，被丢进火里。因此凭着他们的果子，你们就能认出他们来。

你们要亲近神，神就会亲近你们。你们这些罪人哪，当使你们的手洁净！心怀二意的人哪，当使你们的心纯洁！

主就对他说：“如今你们法利赛人洗净杯子、盘子的外面，但你们里面却充满着贪心和恶意。你们这些愚妄的人！那位造了外面的，不也造了里面吗？

你们应当结出果子，与悔改的心相称！你们不要心里想‘我们有亚伯拉罕为先祖。’我告诉你们：神能从这些石头中给亚伯拉罕兴起儿女来。现在斧子已经放在树根上，所有不结好果子的树都要被砍下来，被丢进火里。

你这瞎眼的法利赛人哪！当先洗净杯子的里面，好使外面也洁净。

你们当住在我里面，我就住在你们里面。枝条如果不留在葡萄树上，就不能由自己结出果子；照样，你们如果不住在我里面，你们也是如此。“我就是葡萄树，你们是枝条。那住在我里面、我也在他里面的，他才结出很多果子，因为没有我，你们什么也不能做。一个人如果不住在我里面，就像枝条被丢在外面枯干了，然后被收集扔进火里焚烧。你们如果住在我里面，而我的话也住在你们里面，那么，凡是你们所愿的，当祈求，就将为你们成就。

我的弟兄们，难道无花果树能结出橄榄，葡萄树能结出无花果吗？咸水也不能产生甜水。

现在斧子已经放在树根上，所有不结好果子的树都要被砍下来，被丢进火里。”
