And blessed is any person who does not take offense at Me.”

Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.”

Blessed is anyone who does not give up their faith because of me.”

And blessed is the one who is not offended by me.”

And he added,“ God blesses those who do not fall away because of me.”

and blessed is the one who isn’t offended by me.”

And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.”

And blessed is he, whosoever shall find no occasion of stumbling in me.

And if anyone is not offended because of Me, he is blessed.”

And blessed is[ he], whosoever shall not be offended in me.

Blessed is anyone who takes no offense at me.”

Blessed is he who finds no occasion for stumbling in me.”

But a natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

And He said to them,“ No doubt you will quote this proverb to Me:‘ Physician, heal yourself! All the miracles that we heard were done in Capernaum, do here in your hometown as well.’ ”But He said,“ Truly I say to you, no prophet is welcome in his hometown.But I say to you in truth, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the sky was shut up for three years and six months, when a severe famine came over all the land;and yet Elijah was sent to none of them, but only to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.And there were many with leprosy in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian.”And all the people in the synagogue were filled with rage as they heard these things;and they got up and drove Him out of the city, and brought Him to the crest of the hill on which their city had been built, so that they could throw Him down from the cliff.

Then He will become a sanctuary; But to both houses of Israel, He will be a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, And a snare and a trap for the inhabitants of Jerusalem.Many will stumble over them, Then they will fall and be broken; They will be snared and caught.”

Then Jesus* said to them,“ You will all fall away because of Me this night, for it is written:‘ I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’

And at that time many will fall away, and they will betray one another and hate one another.

As a result of this many of His disciples left, and would no longer walk with Him.

For indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom;but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block, and to Gentiles foolishness,

Others were saying,“ This is the Christ.” But others were saying,“ Surely the Christ is not coming from Galilee, is He?Has the Scripture not said that the Christ comes from the descendants of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?”

While Jesus was saying these things, one of the women in the crowd raised her voice and said to Him,“ Blessed is the womb that carried You, and the breasts at which You nursed!”But He said,“ On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and follow it.”

But as for me, brothers and sisters, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the stumbling block of the cross has been eliminated.

How blessed is he whose wrongdoing is forgiven, Whose sin is covered!How blessed is a person whose guilt the Lord does not take into account, And in whose spirit there is no deceit!

Then the disciples came and* said to Him,“ Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this statement?”But He answered and said,“ Every plant which My heavenly Father did not plant will be uprooted.Leave them alone; they are blind guides of blind people. And if a person who is blind guides another who is blind, both will fall into a pit.”

And Simeon blessed them and said to His mother Mary,“ Behold, this Child is appointed for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and as a sign to be opposed—

Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as though they could by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone,just as it is written:“ Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, And the one who believes in Him will not be put to shame.”

Is this not the carpenter’s son? Is His mother not called Mary, and His brothers, James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas?And His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this man acquire all these things?”And they took offense at Him. But Jesus said to them,“ A prophet is not dishonored except in his hometown and in his own household.”

and,“ A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense”; for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this they were also appointed.

Blessed is the person who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!But his delight is in the Law of the Lord, And on His Law he meditates day and night.

“ Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.“ Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.“ Blessed are the gentle, for they will inherit the earth.“ Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.“ Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.“ Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.“ Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.“ Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.“ Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in this same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

“ Woe to the world because of its stumbling blocks! For it is inevitable that stumbling blocks come; but woe to the person through whom the stumbling block comes!

Blessed are those whose way is blameless, Who walk in the Law of the Lord.

So then many of His disciples, when they heard this, said,“ This statement is very unpleasant; who can listen to it?”But Jesus, aware that His disciples were complaining about this, said to them,“ Is this offensive to you?
