When the days were approaching for His ascension, He was determined to go to Jerusalem;

As the time approached for him to be taken up to heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem.

The time grew near for Jesus to be taken up to heaven. So he made up his mind to go to Jerusalem.

When the days drew near for him to be taken up, he set his face to go to Jerusalem.

As the time drew near for him to ascend to heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem.

When the days were coming to a close for him to be taken up, he determined to journey to Jerusalem.

Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem,

The Lord God has opened My ear, And I was not disobedient, Nor did I turn back.I gave My back to those who strike Me, And My cheeks to those who pull out My beard; I did not hide My face from insults and spitting.For the Lord God helps Me, Therefore, I am not disgraced; Therefore, I have made My face like flint, And I know that I will not be ashamed.He who vindicates Me is near; Who will contend with Me? Let us stand up to each other. Who has a case against Me? Let him approach Me.Behold, the Lord God helps Me; Who is he who condemns Me? Behold, they will all wear out like a garment; A moth will eat them.

And He was passing through one city and village after another, teaching, and proceeding on His way to Jerusalem.

While He was on the way to Jerusalem, He was passing between Samaria and Galilee.

After Jesus said these things, He was going on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.

where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

But I have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished!

Now while they were listening to these things, Jesus went on to tell a parable, because He was near Jerusalem and they thought that the kingdom of God was going to appear immediately.

Now it came about, when the Lord was about to bring Elijah up by a whirlwind to heaven, that Elijah left Gilgal with Elisha.And Elijah said to Elisha,“ Stay here please, for the Lord has sent me as far as Bethel.” But Elisha said,“ As surely as the Lord lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.Then the sons of the prophets who were at Bethel went out to Elisha and said to him,“ Are you aware that the Lord will take away your master from over you today?” And he said,“ Yes, I am aware; say nothing about it.”

looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were watching, and a cloud took Him up, out of their sight.

And now, behold, bound by the Spirit, I am on my way to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there,except that the Holy Spirit solemnly testifies to me in every city, saying that chains and afflictions await me.But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of God’s grace.

until the day when He was taken up to heaven, after He had given orders by the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom He had chosen.

Beyond question, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory.

And he came to us and took Paul’s belt and bound his own feet and hands, and said,“ This is what the Holy Spirit says:‘ In this way the Jews in Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and hand him over to the Gentiles.’ ”When we had heard this, we as well as the local residents began begging him not to go up to Jerusalem.Then Paul replied,“ What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but even to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”And since he would not be persuaded, we became quiet, remarking,“ The will of the Lord be done!”

Now before the Feast of the Passover, Jesus, knowing that His hour had come that He would depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

While He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven.

who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, after angels and authorities and powers had been subjected to Him.Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because the one who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,

And as they were walking along and talking, behold, a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and they separated the two of them. Then Elijah went up by a whirlwind to heaven.

I came forth from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and going to the Father.”

which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,

I am no longer going to be in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, so that they may be one just as We are.

Therefore it says,“ When He ascended on high, He led captive the captives, And He gave gifts to people.”( Now this expression,“ He ascended,” what does it mean except that He also had descended into the lower parts of the earth?He who descended is Himself also He who ascended far above all the heavens, so that He might fill all things.)And He gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, some as pastors and teachers,

“ But now I am going to Him who sent Me; and none of you asks Me,‘ Where are You going?’

What then if you see the Son of Man ascending to where He was before?

I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
