For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one,‘ Go,’ and he goes; and that one,‘ Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant,‘ Do this,’ and he does it.

你們作僕人的，要凡事聽從你們肉身的主人，不要只在眼前服事，像是討人喜歡的，總要心存誠實，因為你們敬畏主。

向他說話的天使離開後，哥尼流叫了兩個僕人和常伺候他的一個虔誠的兵來，把一切的事都講給他們聽，然後就派他們往約帕去。

保羅請一個百夫長來，說：「你領這青年去見千夫長，他有事告訴他。」

凡負軛作奴隸的，要認為自己的主人配受各樣的尊敬，免得神的名和教導被人褻瀆。奴隸若有信主的主人，不可因他是主內弟兄就輕看他們，更要越發服侍他們，因為得到服侍的益處的正是信徒，是蒙愛的人。你要教導和勸勉這些事。

於是他下令百夫長看守保羅，要從寬待他，不可攔阻他的親友來供給他。

於是，千夫長叫了兩個百夫長來，說：「預備步兵二百、騎兵七十、長槍手二百，今夜九點往凱撒利亞去；
