I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.”

我實在告訴你們，凡女子所生的，沒有一個比施洗約翰大；但在天國裏，最小的比他還大。

耶穌轉身私下對門徒說：「看見你們所看見的，那眼睛有福了。我告訴你們，從前有許多先知和君王要看你們所看的，卻沒有看見，要聽你們所聽的，卻沒有聽見。」

但你們的眼睛是有福的，因為看得見；你們的耳朵也是有福的，因為聽得見。我實在告訴你們，從前有許多先知和義人要看你們所看的，卻沒有看見；要聽你們所聽的，卻沒有聽見。」

我照神為你們所賜我的職分作了教會的僕役，要把神的道傳得完滿；這道就是歷世歷代所隱藏的奧祕，但如今向他的聖徒顯明了。神要讓他們知道，這奧祕在外邦人中有何等豐盛的榮耀；就是基督在你們心裏成了得榮耀的盼望。

雖然我比眾聖徒中最小的還小，他還賜我這恩典，讓我把基督那測不透的豐富傳給外邦人，又使眾人都明白甚麼是歷代以來隱藏在創造萬物之神裏的奧祕，

約翰對眾人說：「我是用水給你們施洗，但有一位能力比我更大的要來，我就是給他解鞋帶也不配。他要用聖靈與火給你們施洗。

論到這救恩，那預先說你們要得恩典的眾先知已經詳細地搜索查考過，查考在他們心裏的基督的靈預先證明基督受苦難，後來得榮耀，是指甚麼時候，甚麼樣的情況。他們得了啟示，知道他們所服事的不是自己，而是你們。那藉着從天上差來的聖靈傳福音給你們的人，現在將這些事傳給你們；這些事連天使也都切望察看呢！

對他們說：「凡為我的名接納這小孩子的，就是接納我；凡接納我的，就是接納那差我來的。你們中間最小的，他就是最大的。」

你必歡喜快樂；有許多人因他出世也必喜樂。他在主面前將要為大，淡酒烈酒都不喝，從母腹裏就被聖靈充滿。

這些人都是因信獲得了讚許，卻仍未得着所應許的，因為神給我們預備了更美好的事，若沒有我們，他們就不能達到完全。
