但基督卻在我們還做罪人的時候為我們死！上帝的愛就這樣顯明了。現在，我們既然因祂所流的血而被稱為義人，豈不更要靠著祂免受上帝的烈怒嗎？如果我們還與上帝爲敵的時候，尚且可以藉著上帝兒子的死亡與上帝和好，和好後的我們豈不更要藉著祂兒子的生命得到拯救嗎？

耶和華善待萬民，憐憫祂所造的萬物。

善待窮人等於借貸給耶和華，耶和華必回報他的善行。

慷慨的人必蒙福，因他給窮人食物。

「如果你們的同胞生活日益貧窮，難以維生，你們要像照顧外族人和寄居者一樣照顧他的生活，讓他住在你們當中。你們不可從中謀利，要敬畏上帝，讓他住在你們當中。你們借錢給他，不可收取利息；借糧給他，不可謀利。

因為你們知道我們主耶穌基督的恩典，祂本來富足，卻為你們的緣故變得貧窮，使你們藉著祂的貧窮可以變得富足。

慷慨借貸，行事公正的人必亨通。

你們多結果子，證明自己是我的門徒，就會給我父帶來榮耀。

他們樂善好施，後代都蒙祝福。

卻從未停止用美善的事證實自己的存在。祂常施恩惠，降下甘霖，賞賜豐年，又叫你們衣食飽足，滿心喜樂。」

祂偉大無比，將被稱為至高者的兒子，主上帝要把祂祖先大衛的王位賜給祂。

「至高上帝的兒子耶穌啊，我和你有什麼關係？看在上帝的份上，求你不要折磨我！」

「但是，我告訴你們這些聽道的人，要愛你們的仇敵，要善待恨你們的人，要為咒詛你們的人祝福，要替惡待你們的人禱告。如果有人打你一邊的臉，連另一邊也轉過來讓他打。如果有人奪你的外衣，連內衣也由他拿去。有人向你求什麼，就給他；有人拿了你的東西，不要追討。你們想要別人怎樣對待你們，你們就要怎樣對待別人。
