耶穌對他們說：「新郎和陪伴之人同在的時候，豈能叫陪伴之人禁食呢？

耶穌對他們說：『新郎跟賀喜的朋友在一起的時候，你們哪能叫他們禁食呢？

耶穌曰、新娶者在、安能使賀娶者禁食乎、

耶穌曰、新娶者在、安能使賀娶之人禁食乎、

耶穌曰、新娶者尚在、安能使賀娶之客禁食乎、

耶穌曰：『新壻尚在、安能令新壻之友守齋乎？

Jesus answered,“ Can you make the friends of the bridegroom fast while he is with them?

And Jesus said to them,“ Can you make wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is with them?

Jesus responded,“ Do wedding guests fast while celebrating with the groom? Of course not.

Jesus said to them,“ You can’t make the wedding guests fast while the groom is with them, can you?

And Jesus said to them,“ You cannot make the attendants of the groom fast while the groom is with them, can you?

And He said to them,“ Can you make the friends of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them?

And Jesus said unto them, Can ye make the sons of the bride- chamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?

And he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?

So Jesus said to them,“ You cannot make the wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is with them, can you?

He said to them,“ Can you make the friends of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them?

He who has the bride is the groom. But the groom’s friend, who stands by and listens for him, rejoices greatly at the groom’s voice. So this joy of mine is complete.

Indeed, your husband is your Maker— His name is Yahweh of Hosts— and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; He is called the God of all the earth.

His left hand is under my head, and his right arm embraces me.Young women of Jerusalem, I charge you by the gazelles and the wild does of the field: do not stir up or awaken love until the appropriate time.

For as a young man marries a young woman, so your sons will marry you; and as a groom rejoices over his bride, so your God will rejoice over you.

Yahweh your God is among you, a warrior who saves. He will rejoice over you with gladness. He will bring you quietness with His love. He will delight in you with shouts of joy.”

Listen, daughter, pay attention and consider: forget your people and your father’s house,and the king will desire your beauty. Bow down to him, for he is your lord.The daughter of Tyre, the wealthy people, will seek your favor with gifts.In her chamber, the royal daughter is all glorious, her clothing embroidered with gold.In colorful garments she is led to the king; after her, the virgins, her companions, are brought to you.They are led in with gladness and rejoicing; they enter the king’s palace.Your sons will succeed your ancestors; you will make them princes throughout the land.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for herto make her holy, cleansing her with the washing of water by the word.He did this to present the church to Himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or anything like that, but holy and blameless.

Let us be glad, rejoice, and give Him glory, because the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has prepared herself.She was given fine linen to wear, bright and pure. Then those who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet, and the door was shut.

His father went to visit the woman, and Samson prepared a feast there, as young men were accustomed to do.When the Philistines saw him, they brought 30 men to accompany him.
