因將被解於異邦人、戲玩之、凌辱之、唾之、

He will be delivered over to the Gentiles. They will mock him, insult him and spit on him;

希祿及其侍衛、則鄙而嘲之、披以采服、解回比辣多。

自是耶穌始預示其徒、彼須往耶路撒冷、將陷於長老、經生、司祭之手、備受凌辱、乃至被殺；第三日復活。

亞伯漢意灑格雅各伯之天主、吾列祖之天主、厥子耶穌、已蒙榮寵。此即爾曹曩日執交比辣多、比辣多意欲釋之、

褫其衣、被以絳袍、編棘為冕、加諸其首、置一葦於其右手、跪其前而戲弄之曰：『猶太人之王萬歲！』復從而唾之、奪其葦、而擊其首。

有人且從而唾其面、蒙其目、揮拳而擊之曰：『可以預言矣！』諸僕更批其頰。

乃唾其面、毆以拳、更有掌之者、且曰：

彼按天主之定謨及預知、被付於人而爾曹復假不義者之手、釘死之於十字架上；

有人鬮分其衣、民眾環立觀望、官吏相與嘲訕之曰：『彼曾救人；苟其為天主所選之基督、曷亦自救乎？』

看守耶穌者、相與加以毆辱、蒙其目、批其頰、而嘲之曰：『先知、試言誰擊爾者。』褻瀆之言、不一而足。

乃縛送於方伯比辣多。

比辣多乃令執耶穌而鞭之；兵士編棘為冠、加諸其首、衣以紫袍、共趨其前而呼曰：『猶太人王萬歲！』乃批其頰。比辣多復出語眾曰：『爾其識之、吾以此人示爾、爾當知吾實未見其罪也。』耶穌出時、首帶棘冠、身披紫袍。比辣多語眾曰：『可以觀其人矣！』

衣以紫袍、編棘而冠之、佯禮曰：『猶太人之王萬歲！』持葦繫其首、唾之、復屈膝而拜之。嘲弄既畢、褫其紫袍、被以初服、引之出、將釘之於十字架。

眾應曰：『苟非惡類、必不解之爾前。』

會眾遂起、解耶穌於比辣多而控之曰：

語甫出、旁立一吏批其頰曰：『若敢如此對總司祭耶！』

及曙、大司祭與諸長老經生及公會中人會議既畢、乃縛耶穌、押送比辣多、

平旦、眾曳耶穌出蓋法署、解往督轅、而眾未遽入、恐為所浼而不得食免難羔也。

比辣多曰：『予非猶太人、汝之國人及司祭諸長、將汝交予、汝果犯何罪？』
