上帝的旨意是：耶穌基督只一次獻上自己的身體，便使我們永遠聖潔了。祭司都要天天站著供職，一次次地獻上同樣的祭物，只是這些祭物根本不能除罪。而基督一次獻上自己成為永遠的贖罪祭後，就坐在上帝的右邊，

祭司要把手掌裡剩下的油抹在求潔淨者的頭上。這樣，祭司在耶和華面前為他贖了罪。

第二天，摩西對百姓說：「你們犯了大罪，我現在要到耶和華那裡，也許可以為你們求得赦免。」

祭司要為這無意間犯罪的人在耶和華面前贖罪，使他獲得赦免。

所以祂必須在每一方面都與祂的弟兄姊妹相同，以便在事奉上帝的事上成為一位仁慈忠信的大祭司，替眾人獻上贖罪祭。

但基督替我們受了咒詛，從而救贖我們脫離了律法的咒詛，因為聖經上說：「凡掛在木頭上的人都是受咒詛的。」

為了贖過，他必須獻給耶和華一隻母綿羊或母山羊作贖罪祭。祭司要為他贖罪。

不但如此，我們藉著主耶穌基督與上帝和好之後，還要藉著祂在上帝面前歡喜。

要像焚燒平安祭牲的脂肪一樣，把羊的所有脂肪都放在壇上焚燒。這樣，祭司為他贖了罪，他就會得到赦免。

祂正是上帝榮耀的光輝，是上帝本體的真像。祂用自己充滿能力的話語維繫萬物。祂洗淨了世人的罪之後，便坐在天上至高上帝的右邊。

更何況基督藉著永恆的靈把自己毫無瑕疵地獻給上帝呢？祂的血豈不更能洗淨我們的良心，使我們脫離導致滅亡的行為，以便事奉永活的上帝嗎？

她若負擔不起一隻羊羔，可以帶兩隻斑鳩或雛鴿來，一隻作燔祭，一隻作贖罪祭。祭司為她贖罪後，她就潔淨了。」

獻祭者要把手放在牛頭上，所獻的燔祭便蒙悅納，為他贖罪。

「已經為你的同胞和聖城定了七十個七，以終結叛逆，除掉罪惡，贖盡過犯，帶來永遠的公義，封住異象和預言，膏抹至聖所。

祭司要在耶和華面前為他贖罪，他就會得到赦免。」
