Notwithstanding no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto the LORD of all that he hath,[ both] of man and beast, and of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing[ is] most holy unto the LORD.

“但一切永献的，就是人从他所有永献给耶和华的，无论是人，是牲畜，是他承受为业的地，都不可卖，也不可赎。凡永献的是归给耶和华为至圣。

“‘ But nothing that a person owns and devotes to the Lord— whether a human being or an animal or family land— may be sold or redeemed; everything so devoted is most holy to the Lord.

“‘ But nothing a person owns and sets apart to the Lord can be sold or bought back. It does not matter whether it is a human being or an animal or a family’s land. Everything set apart to the Lord is very holy to him.

“ But no devoted thing that a man devotes to the Lord, of anything that he has, whether man or beast, or of his inherited field, shall be sold or redeemed; every devoted thing is most holy to the Lord.

“ However, anything specially set apart for the Lord— whether a person, an animal, or family property— must never be sold or bought back. Anything devoted in this way has been set apart as holy, and it belongs to the Lord.

“ Nothing that a man permanently sets apart to the LORD from all he owns, whether a person, an animal, or his inherited landholding, can be sold or redeemed; everything set apart is especially holy to the LORD.

‘ Nevertheless, anything which someone sets apart to the Lord for destruction out of all that he has, of man or animal or of the field of his own property, shall not be sold nor redeemed. Anything set apart for destruction is most holy to the Lord.

‘ Nevertheless no devoted offering that a man may devote to the Lord of all that he has, both man and beast, or the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed; every devoted offering is most holy to the Lord.

Notwithstanding, no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto Jehovah of all that he hath, whether of man or beast, or of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto Jehovah.

“‘ Surely anything which a man permanently dedicates to the LORD from all that belongs to him, whether from people, animals, or his landed property, must be neither sold nor redeemed; anything permanently dedicated is most holy to the LORD.

“‘ Notwithstanding, no devoted thing that a man devotes to Yahweh of all that he has, whether of man or animal, or of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed. Everything that is permanently devoted is most holy to Yahweh.

And the city shall be accursed,[ even] it, and all that[ are] therein, to the LORD: only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all that[ are] with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.And ye, in any wise keep[ yourselves] from the accursed thing, lest ye make[ yourselves] accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron,[ are] consecrated unto the LORD: they shall come into the treasury of the LORD.

But of the cities of these people, which the LORD thy God doth give thee[ for] an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth:But thou shalt utterly destroy them;[ namely], the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee:

He that sacrificeth unto[ any] god, save unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed.

But the field, when it goeth out in the jubile, shall be holy unto the LORD, as a field devoted; the possession thereof shall be the priest’s.

Therefore it shall be, when the LORD thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee[ for] an inheritance to possess it,[ that] thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget[ it].

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that[ is] therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword.And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire the city, and all the spoil thereof every whit, for the LORD thy God: and it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built again.

For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed[ is] every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against the children of Israel.

Howbeit we may not give them wives of our daughters: for the children of Israel have sworn, saying, Cursed[ be] he that giveth a wife to Benjamin.

And the children of Israel said, Who[ is there] among all the tribes of Israel that came not up with the congregation unto the LORD? For they had made a great oath concerning him that came not up to the LORD to Mizpeh, saying, He shall surely be put to death.

Then said Samuel, Bring ye hither to me Agag the king of the Amalekites. And Agag came unto him delicately. And Agag said, Surely the bitterness of death is past.And Samuel said, As thy sword hath made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before the LORD in Gilgal.

When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them,[ and] utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:

If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.

And Joshua adjured[ them] at that time, saying, Cursed[ be] the man before the LORD, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest[ son] shall he set up the gates of it.

And the men of Israel were distressed that day: for Saul had adjured the people, saying, Cursed[ be] the man that eateth[ any] food until evening, that I may be avenged on mine enemies. So none of the people tasted[ any] food.And all[ they of] the land came to a wood; and there was honey upon the ground.And when the people were come into the wood, behold, the honey dropped; but no man put his hand to his mouth: for the people feared the oath.But Jonathan heard not when his father charged the people with the oath: wherefore he put forth the end of the rod that[ was] in his hand, and dipped it in an honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth; and his eyes were enlightened.Then answered one of the people, and said, Thy father straitly charged the people with an oath, saying, Cursed[ be] the man that eateth[ any] food this day. And the people were faint.

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed[ is] every one that hangeth on a tree:

Every thing devoted in Israel shall be thine.

And when it was day, certain of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul.And they were more than forty which had made this conspiracy.And they came to the chief priests and elders, and said, We have bound ourselves under a great curse, that we will eat nothing until we have slain Paul.

For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:

And the LORD sent thee on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.

And Jephthah vowed a vow unto the LORD, and said, If thou shalt without fail deliver the children of Ammon into mine hands,Then it shall be, that whatsoever cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the LORD’S, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.

And Israel vowed a vow unto the LORD, and said, If thou wilt indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.And the LORD hearkened to the voice of Israel, and delivered up the Canaanites; and they utterly destroyed them and their cities: and he called the name of the place Hormah.

Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put[ it] even among their own stuff.Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies,[ but] turned[ their] backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against tomorrow: for thus saith the LORD God of Israel,[ There is] an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you.

And this[ is] the thing that ye shall do, Ye shall utterly destroy every male, and every woman that hath lain by man.

And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the LORD shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones.

And Saul said, Draw ye near hither, all the chief of the people: and know and see wherein this sin hath been this day.For,[ as] the LORD liveth, which saveth Israel, though it be in Jonathan my son, he shall surely die. But[ there was] not a man among all the people[ that] answered him.Then said he unto all Israel, Be ye on one side, and I and Jonathan my son will be on the other side. And the people said unto Saul, Do what seemeth good unto thee.Therefore Saul said unto the LORD God of Israel, Give a perfect[ lot]. And Saul and Jonathan were taken: but the people escaped.And Saul said, Cast[ lots] between me and Jonathan my son. And Jonathan was taken.Then Saul said to Jonathan, Tell me what thou hast done. And Jonathan told him, and said, I did but taste a little honey with the end of the rod that[ was] in mine hand,[ and], lo, I must die.And Saul answered, God do so and more also: for thou shalt surely die, Jonathan.And the people said unto Saul, Shall Jonathan die, who hath wrought this great salvation in Israel? God forbid:[ as] the LORD liveth, there shall not one hair of his head fall to the ground; for he hath wrought with God this day. So the people rescued Jonathan, that he died not.

Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.
