I prayed,“ Please don’t close your ears to my cry for help.” And you heard my appeal.

You have heard my voice,“ Do not cover Your ear from my plea for relief, From my cry for help.”

They cause the poor to cry out, catching God’s attention. He hears the cries of the needy.

Listen to my prayer, O God. Do not ignore my cry for help!

In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened; he saved me from all my troubles.

And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.

“ Go back to Hezekiah and tell him,‘ This is what the Lord, the God of your ancestor David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will add fifteen years to your life,

Go away, all you who do evil, for the Lord has heard my weeping.The Lord has heard my plea; the Lord will answer my prayer.

And when he prayed, the Lord listened to him and was moved by his request. So the Lord brought Manasseh back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh finally realized that the Lord alone is God!

I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy.Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!
