“ You have called, as in the day of a solemn assembly, my terrors on every side. There was no one that escaped or remained in the day of Yahweh’s anger. My enemy has consumed those whom I have cared for and brought up.

我之驚恐、爾自四周召之、若大會之集兮、耶和華忿怒之日、無人逃免而遺留兮、我所保抱撫養者、我敵盡滅之兮、

耶和華震怒之期已屆、四周禍至、無能逃遁兮、我所撫育者、敵盡殺之、靡有孑遺兮。

主使可懼之事、四周雲集、如眾集會於節期之日、主震怒之日、無能逃遁、無人存留、我所懷抱所撫育者、我敵滅之殆盡、

“ As you summon to a feast day, so you summoned against me terrors on every side. In the day of the Lord’s anger no one escaped or survived; those I cared for and reared my enemy has destroyed.”

“ You sent for terrors to come against me on every side. It was as if you were inviting people to enjoy a feast day. Because you were angry, no one escaped. No one was left alive. I took good care of my children and brought them up. But my enemies have destroyed them.”

You summoned as if to a festival day my terrors on every side, and on the day of the anger of the Lord no one escaped or survived; those whom I held and raised my enemy destroyed.

“ You have invited terrors from all around, as though you were calling them to a day of feasting. In the day of the Lord’s anger, no one has escaped or survived. The enemy has killed all the children whom I carried and raised.”

You summon those who terrorize me on every side, as if for an appointed festival day; on the day of the LORD’s anger no one escaped or survived. My enemy has destroyed those I nurtured and reared.

You called as on the day of an appointed feast My terrors on every side; And there was no one who survived or escaped On the day of the Lord’s anger. As for those whom I brought forth healthy and whom I raised, My enemy annihilated them.”

You summoned my attackers on every side, as if for an appointed festival day; on the day of the Lord’s anger no one escaped or survived. My enemy has destroyed those I nurtured and reared.

As if it were a feast day, you call enemies to terrify me on every side. On the day of the Lord’s anger no one escaped or survived. My enemy has finished off those healthy infants whom I bore and raised.

Don’t go out into the field, nor walk by the way; for the sword of the enemy and terror are on every side.

For I have heard the slander of many, terror on every side, while they conspire together against me, they plot to take away my life.

“ You shall not take a wife, neither shall you have sons or daughters, in this place.”For Yahweh says concerning the sons and concerning the daughters who are born in this place, and concerning their mothers who bore them, and concerning their fathers who became their father in this land:“ They will die grievous deaths. They will not be lamented, neither will they be buried. They will be as dung on the surface of the ground. They will be consumed by the sword and by famine. Their dead bodies will be food for the birds of the sky and for the animals of the earth.”

For behold, the days are coming in which they will say,‘ Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed.’Then they will begin to tell the mountains,‘ Fall on us!’ and tell the hills,‘ Cover us.’

Though they bring up their children, yet I will bereave them, so that not a man shall be left. Indeed, woe also to them when I depart from them!I have seen Ephraim, like Tyre, planted in a pleasant place; but Ephraim will bring out his children to the murderer.Give them— Yahweh what will you give? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.“ All their wickedness is in Gilgal; for there I hated them. Because of the wickedness of their deeds I will drive them out of my house! I will love them no more. All their princes are rebels.Ephraim is struck. Their root has dried up. They will bear no fruit. Even though they give birth, yet I will kill the beloved ones of their womb.”

On the next day, Pashhur released Jeremiah out of the stocks. Then Jeremiah said to him,“ Yahweh has not called your name Pashhur, but Magormissabib.

I saw the Lord standing beside the altar, and he said,“ Strike the tops of the pillars, that the thresholds may shake; and break them in pieces on the head of all of them; and I will kill the last of them with the sword: there shall not one of them flee away, and there shall not one of them escape.Though they dig into Sheol, there my hand will take them; and though they climb up to heaven, there I will bring them down.Though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out there; and though they be hidden from my sight in the bottom of the sea, there I will command the serpent, and it will bite them.Though they go into captivity before their enemies, there I will command the sword, and it will kill them. I will set my eyes on them for evil, and not for good.

Fear, the pit, and the snare, are on you who inhabit the earth.It will happen that he who flees from the noise of the fear will fall into the pit; and he who comes up out of the middle of the pit will be taken in the snare; for the windows on high are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble.

Why have I seen it? They are dismayed and are turned backward. Their mighty ones are beaten down, have fled in haste, and don’t look back. Terror is on every side,” says Yahweh.

The fruit of your body, the fruit of your ground, the increase of your livestock, and the young of your flock will be cursed.
