Joshua said to the people,“ You are not able to serve the Lord. He is a holy God; he is a jealous God. He will not forgive your rebellion and your sins.

Joshua warned the people,“ You will not keep worshiping the LORD, for he is a holy God. He is a jealous God who will not forgive your rebellion or your sins.

Joshua said to the people,“ You can’t serve Yahweh, for he is a holy God. He is a jealous God. He will not forgive your disobedience nor your sins.

我使至即我至、必不宥爾愆、故當遵其命。毋干厥怒。

伯示麥人曰、耶和華上帝至聖、孰能立於其前、匱離斯土、當往何方。

告以色列會眾、我耶和華爾之上帝、我聖、爾亦當聖。

萬有之主、至聖之上帝耶和華、惟秉公義、必推為尊、

毋拜跪、無崇奉、以我耶和華、即爾之上帝、斷不容以他上帝匹我、惡我者禍之、自父及子、至三四世、

我之上帝耶和華至聖、爾當高其品評、涖彼駐蹕之所、崇拜之兮、

我之上帝耶和華至聖、當揄揚之、崇拜於聖山兮。

斷不容爾以他上帝匹我、此乃我耶和華之名也、故他上帝爾勿崇拜。

此唱彼和曰、聖哉聖哉聖哉、萬有之主耶和華、榮光赫奕、彌綸寰宇、聲震門橛、一室之中、烟燄四塞。我曰、余與斯民、滿口穢濁、得覲大君、睹萬有之主耶和華、我命其尚可保乎、禍必不遠矣、

一人事二主者、未之有也、或惡此愛彼、或重此輕彼、爾不能事上帝、又事財貨也、

我耶和華乃聖、已區別爾曹、異於凡民、爾既屬我、故當成聖。

爾品至聖、惡者爾所不喜、暴者爾所不悅、今人強據我有、何爾反佑之、惡者害義、何爾默不一言乎。

拿阿米曰、爾之妯娌、已歸故國、奉其上帝、汝盍同歸。

曰汝中所有他人之上帝、今當去之、誠心相從以色列族上帝耶和華。

錫恩於人、至千百世、人蹈罪愆、可蒙赦宥、恆於惡者、不蒙赦宥、禍及其身、自父及子、至三四世。

加以誓言、以利家之咎、雖獻祭品禮物、永不得贖。

以色列族之聖主耶和華勸爾遄歸、居處靜謐、則獲綏安、以補爾精力、惟爾不欲、

枝幹枯槁、即遭毀折、女子拾焉、焚之以火、蓋彼敵人、懵然無知、故我造化之主、不加矜憫。

離經畔道、以色列族之聖主、其名非所樂聞、

摩西謂亞倫曰、耶和華諭云、近我之祭司、必以我為聖、使民歸榮於我。亞倫默然。

彼譏上帝之使、藐視其命、侮其先知、干耶和華震怒、不復援手、

蓋異邦人所祭者、非祭上帝、乃祭諸鬼、我不欲爾與鬼交、爾既飲主之杯、則不可飲鬼之杯、爾既共主之席、則不可共鬼之席、我豈可激主怒乎、我豈勝於主乎、

眾同行、耶穌顧曰、人就我而不過於愛父母、妻子、兄弟、姊妹、與己生命者、不得為我徒、不任十字架從我者、亦不得為我徒、爾曹孰有建塔、不先坐計其資、足以竣事乎、恐基而不成、眾見哂曰、此人作之於始、乃不能成之於終也、或有王出、與他王戰、非先坐而運籌、能以一萬敵來者二萬乎、不然、敵尚遠、將遣使求成矣、如是、爾曹不舍所有者、不得為我徒也、○
