於是日停月止、待民向敵復仇、是事載於雅煞珥書、日停天中不速入、約一終日、

So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies, as it is written in the Book of Jashar. The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day.

就是叫亚哈斯的日晷，向前进的日影往后退十度。”于是，前进的日影果然在日晷上往后退了十度。

因你的箭射出发光，你的枪闪出光耀，日月都在本宫停住。

且吩咐将这歌教导犹大人。这歌名叫“弓歌”，写在雅煞珥书上。

它们一来，地震天动，日月昏暗，星宿无光。

所以耶和华的战记上说：“苏法的哇哈伯与亚嫩河的谷，

“你要在米甸人身上报以色列人的仇，后来要归到你列祖那里。”

日月昏暗，星宿无光。”

那时，月亮要蒙羞，日头要惭愧；因为万军之耶和华必在锡安山，在耶路撒冷作王；在敬畏他的长老面前，必有荣耀。

日头月亮，你们要赞美他！放光的星宿，你们都要赞美他！

那城内又不用日月光照；因有神的荣耀光照，又有羔羊为城的灯。

参孙求告耶和华说：“主耶和华啊，求你眷念我。神啊，求你赐我这一次的力量，使我在非利士人身上报那剜我双眼的仇。”

他的量带通遍天下，他的言语传到地极。神在其间为太阳安设帐幕；

“因为以色列中有军长率领，百姓也甘心牺牲自己，你们应当颂赞耶和华！

称谢那造成大光的，因他的慈爱永远长存。他造日头管白昼，因他的慈爱永远长存。他造月亮星宿管黑夜，因他的慈爱永远长存。

白昼属你，黑夜也属你；亮光和日头是你所预备的。地的一切疆界是你所立的；夏天和冬天是你所定的。

在这日以前，这日以后，耶和华听人的祷告，没有像这日的，是因耶和华为以色列争战。

他们在以色列人面前逃跑，正在伯和仑下坡的时候，耶和华从天上降大冰雹在他们身上，直降到亚西加，打死他们。被冰雹打死的，比以色列人用刀杀死的还多。

抄录这谕旨，颁行各省，宣告各族，使犹大人预备等候那日，在仇敌身上报仇。

日头要变为黑暗，月亮要变为血，这都在耶和华大而可畏的日子未到以前。

“那些日子的灾难一过去，日头就变黑了，月亮也不放光，众星要从天上坠落，天势都要震动。

第四位天使把碗倒在日头上，叫日头能用火烤人。人被大热所烤，就亵渎那有权掌管这些灾的神之名，并不悔改将荣耀归给神。

这样就可以作你们天父的儿子；因为他叫日头照好人，也照歹人；降雨给义人，也给不义的人。

大声喊着说：“圣洁真实的主啊，你不审判住在地上的人，给我们伸流血的冤，要等到几时呢？”

神的选民昼夜呼吁他，他纵然为他们忍了多时，岂不终久给他们伸冤吗？

日头要变为黑暗，月亮要变为血；这都在主大而明显的日子未到以前。

揭开第六印的时候，我又看见地大震动，日头变黑像毛布，满月变红像血，

第四位天使吹号，日头的三分之一、月亮的三分之一、星辰的三分之一都被击打，以致日月星的三分之一黑暗了，白昼的三分之一没有光，黑夜也是这样。
