Put on sackcloth, you priests, and mourn; wail, you who minister before the altar. Come, spend the night in sackcloth, you who minister before my God; for the grain offerings and drink offerings are withheld from the house of your God.

Priests, put on the clothing of sadness and mourn. Cry, you who serve at the altar. Come, you who serve my God in the temple. Spend the night dressed in the clothes of sadness. Weep because no one brings grain offerings and drink offerings to the house of your God anymore.

Put on sackcloth and lament, O priests; wail, O ministers of the altar. Go in, pass the night in sackcloth, O ministers of my God! Because grain offering and drink offering are withheld from the house of your God.

Dress yourselves in burlap and weep, you priests! Wail, you who serve before the altar! Come, spend the night in burlap, you ministers of my God. For there is no grain or wine to offer at the Temple of your God.

委而棄之、爾當哀哭、若女未笄而字人、夫沒、身衣衰絰、禮物灌奠、不獻於耶和華殿、維彼祭司、在耶和華前、供其役事者、不勝號泣。

爾當衣麻哀哭、蓋我怒正盛、莫能遏止。

尼尼微人信上帝、使眾自尊逮卑、禁食衣麻、尼尼微王聞言下位、解衣衣麻、坐於塗炭。王與諸侯出諭、遍尼尼微邑曰、人與六畜牛羊、俱勿食糧、飲水、俱必衣麻、懇籲上帝、眾當去惡、勿虐人民、

亞哈聞言、則裂其衣、衣麻禁食、或寢或行、卑以自牧。

祭司在耶和華前、供厥役事、當於廡下祭壇間、澘然出涕、曰、耶和華與、斯民也、本屬乎爾、求爾寛宥、不致蒙羞、為異邦人所統轄、異邦人凌侮之、曰、爾之上帝安在、亦奚以為、

山岡牧原、俱被焚燬、杳無人跡、不聞牲畜之鳴、飛鳥走獸、皆已奔散、我用是殷憂。

以麻束腰、盡薙首髮、蒙羞抱愧、戰慄之至。

吾所言之人、乃屬他族、從無供役祭壇者、蓋摩西未嘗以祭司職諭猶大、吾主由猶大出、則祭司職之易、不彰彰明乎、

賜我有能為新約之役、非循舊典、乃本於神、舊典致死、本神致生、

大闢緣子祈禱上帝、入內禁食、竟夕俯伏於地。

人當以我儕為基督執事、司上帝奧、

詎不知助祭司者食諸殿、侍祭壇者、頒諸壇乎、

而以吾行事、自薦為上帝僕、有若多忍、患難、災害、阨窮、

以所備之禮物、奉獻於我、容祭司攜至壇前、於禮物中、祭司必有所取、以為記錄、焚之於壇、是為燔祭、取其馨香、而奉事我。既燔一撮以獻我、則禮物為至聖、其餘當歸亞倫及子孫。

上所獻者、即在月朔、及每日所獻燔祭禮物、灌酒之外、俱循常例、依其核數、取其馨香、以奉事我。○

彼基督僕、而余言若狂、我有大於此者、我愈賢勞、愈受箠楚、繫獄者屢矣、瀕死者屢矣、

爾曹堪稱為我上帝耶和華之祭司、供其役事、維彼列國、爾可享其貨財、被其榮顯。
